I was researching some "rare" recording of Frank and the Mothers...and ran across a description of this Wisconsin 1969 tape.....5/ 23/ 1969. It looks like a great one for a issue from the family, especially since it supposedly was a "band tape" . Lowell George is in the band too. Would love to see this as a real release....maybe a "Road Tape"?

I've seen this one mentioned quite a bit through the years. I'll have to check it out.

I think Frank said somewhere this show was the best show The Mothers ever performed.
I have it and it is an excellent show! Frank had the show professionally recorded for a
possible release. It has a bit of hiss, but very good stereo!

I have a download of this concert from the SBD tape. There's a lot of bass peaking in it which is not very pleasant. If there is a better recording of it in the vault, then I would definitely be keen to have a copy of it.
