Went golfing yesterday in freezing cold and had one of the best rounds in years 42+38=80 2 birdies, 7 pars, 7 bogeys, and 2 double bogeys...if a couple more putts would have dropped I would have shot in the 70's... 8)

Plook on Tour Snow Flake Report... :smoke:

I had Phase One of my Review yesterday and it went real well, one thing came up that chaffs at me concerned some complaints from a couple Millenniums last summer that I am not nice enough and I come off demanding... ...I start every email request with "Please" and end with "Thank You", the middle is dry technical requests...The whole thing piss's me off...

One of the guys that worked my Group about a year ago that transferred to a different Group after he had a run that was a similar thing, now granted he could be a little more dicky than I would ever be (at least more than the new and improved me would... ) but the controversy centered around the fact that he added at the end of emails "Have a nice day", well people were complaining that him saying that in emails that were critical, was an asshole move.

Well when it ended up in a Review and he found out what the complaint was he showed the Managers and HR Team that that statement was built into his email "Signature Picker" and was automatically added to the end of every email along with his name, title, and contact information.

Needless to say that ended that investigation, unfortunately for me I never found out it was happening to me last summer until I was being called to task and assigned some Training Courses on Communications (which were actually quite good and informative interactive courses) and any attempt to see an example of an offending email or defend myself was shoot down, so I decided that wasn't the hill I was going to die on and took my penance...I just scratched it up to getting "Snow Flaked".

Well right after the Holiday Break it happened again, but fortunately it made it to a Project Manager first who called me before it went up the chain of command because she thought the allegation was out of character for me (at least the new and improved me... ) and I searched out all the email communications with these particular people and zip filed them and attached it to an email I wrote that was very forthright that I sent to everyone in the Group up to the Director level. I laid out in no uncertain terms that there is no basis for the charge, insisted everyone read the email chains, and in fact I wanted to file a complaint against them for reporting a false charge.

The emails were read it was agreed that there was no validation whatsoever for the accusation they made and I no-longer had to interface with that supplier (who was a one off since they were the Incumbent for the Venue), but still that whole episode of being "harsh" still comes up because of that first event that I could not get out in front of last summer.

But there's more, I think the whole thing is a scam...the Incumbent that made the recent complaint was working in tandem with the guys that originally made the claim last summer and I think they said "we can get rid of this guy off the Review for this Site, just complain that he's an arse and they'll pull him"...fortunately that second incident died a quick death, I just wish there was a way to get that other "Non" event expunged from my file...

^^^^^ no problem, all you need is a hacker a horses head and the A Team..... ^^^^^

We operate in a climate of complaints and compensation in NZ, most companies are so paranoid
they've run a political correctness audit from top to bottom front to back and side to side.

Our company got a little jumpy and had a legal team and race relations expert
formulate the vanilla e mail templates that we use both internally and externally,
there are no less than fifteen instructions/rules on how to use each template
with zero deviation permitted.....

A dyslexic couldn't misinterpret these things.....

From my point of view it can be mind numbing stuff trundling through
"personalizing" literally hundreds of these things in a day, all the while
wishing I'd paid better attention to my father my uncles and all those teachers.....

Yes indeed, here we are!

At Saint Plookfunzo's Friday Night Jellyfish Wrestling

Where I stole the glaze-juh-reen
An' widdled on the Turkish Lamp of bedroom dreams
I saw a handsome Religous lady
Make her entrance like a queen
Why, she was totally banging
And her body was super clean
As she abused a Honey Badger
And said why don't you make me scream?
(Do it, do it, do it, oooooh!)
At Plookfunzo's Friday Night Jellyfish Wrestling
(Hah! Good God! I got it trademarked!)
Where I stole the glaze-juh-reen
Saint Plookfunzo
Saint Plookfunzo
Saint Plookfunzo
Saint Plookfunzo
Ooh, wah

It's with great sadness and a heavy heart I must inform you the KUIII (Dean) passed away yesterday Sunday 02/09/20 after his long battle with cancer, he missed the DZ show in Arcata last night, I know he was looking forward to it.

His sister say's with a heavy heart it is a blessing due to his suffering recently when his health diminished suddenly over several weeks.

He beat the odds for having Pancreatic Cancer by making it well past the 2% survival rate, that's because Dean had one of the best outlooks on life and was an athlete his whole life. While he liked to have a good time, he was in excellent condition and took care of himself.

He is with with Terri, Kapt. Kiiirk, Pop Jim, and all the good people we lost at the big Frank Zappa Show in the sky siting together on a maroon sofa with a bit of wood flooring under it.

You are missed Dean (KUIII), you are missed...
