The Douglas Aircraft plant, in Santa Monica California.

During World War 2, they were worried that the Japanese would mount a Pearl Harbor-type attack on Los Angeles. So they hired set designers from Warner Brothers to create camouflage for the roof of the building and the nearby airstrip. It worked so well that pilots test flying Douglas planes sometimes couldn't find their way back to the very airport from which they had just taken off...

^^^^^ woo hoo! ^^^^^
We fish for rainbow trout on lake Taupo, there's a secret spot that has been handed down through the family for generations.....
One of the magical things about this place other than the beautiful location and tremendous fishing, are the hawks, they will buzz the boat, just like your eagle above, trying to grab a fish bouncing about on your line, and man they are cagey, they'll silently coast in out of the sun, you don't even see them coming and they're quite successful. Once you know they're about you've got to be quick on the reel.....As a five year old I remember having the family of swamp harrier hawks pointed out to me during a bush walk, the hawks didn't fish off us back then, I was maybe thirteen when I first heard about it and about fifteen the first time I saw a hawk take a trout that had been caught, it was the first of many. This flock seem to be quite specialized, I've never seen them lurking about when I've been fly fishing in the nearby streams, they only seem to appear when we're out on the lake.....I like them, and always hope they swoop in for the occasional feed..... 8)
