glad you asked!

upon one of my many travels abroad, i met a super interesting gentleman. we'll call him "hugo".
as it turns out, hugo was a keyboard/synthesizer fanatic. he had a vast knowledge and an undying love for all things electro-keys.
long story short, i grew fond of the fantom and ended up trading hugo my b.c. rich spiderwolf for her.
that reminds me... i really need to clean out the garage.

We drove to Morro Bay yesterday, the day started out beautiful but slowly we encountered clouds and sprinkles of rain. We had a night reservation at Hearst Castle so we enquired about the rain policy, they said rain or shine the bus goes up, bring an umbrella.

I found this curious since a lot of the tour is geared towards outdoors and the period lighting of the grounds. So I bought an umbrella and we dressed for weather and off we went warm coffee in or hands.

By this time it was simply drizzling but still an issue for outdoor activities. Well they had a solution for this situation the indoor portion was extended to all the cottages then we scurried umbrellas in hand to the main building were several people were dressed in period clothes and speaking in th tong of the 1930's.

We basically got a hybrid tour very extensive of the cavernous castle which was awesome...but, and there always seems to be one in these situations, we had intended to go out after since it was Saturday night.

Now keep in mind we have been hiking beaches for three days, we did a tide pool hike near pebble beach that was way out to a rock we climbed and nearly were trapped by high tide.

Not to mention an extensive hike of Moonstone Beach which was unusually completely deserted and had the widest variety of driftwood structures built by local artist.

Needless to say we were totally cooked came back to the room and slept like babies...old babies...

Glad you made it back safely to dry land! We don’t want to see any stories about Czech Art being orphaned by adventurous tourists.

LMAO...KU I'll be more careful, I have a Turkish Lamp at home I need to think about...I need to get my priorities in line and straighten my life out...

Today has been off and on rain all day, the morning started mostly sunny but as we ate our decadently good gourmet breakfast at Frankie & Lola's it began to sprinkle. After breakfast we headed for Harmony a artisan town with an amazing glass works and pottery shop, RG found a beautiful piece of art pottery she liked and I bought it for her.

We then drove around the beach houses in Cambria and found a nice 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath home on the bluff overlooking the ocean for 3 million dollars, it's a steal...

More to come... :smoke:
