Lol, it just dropped 20f/10c degrees in 3 hours, and it's got a ways to go...

Supposed to be 7f/-14c in the am, fucked up a couple of days, but above freezing again soon.

That's good news.

The better news is we are through one of the two "warning will robinson" snow months, even if we get baked now, it can only be half as bad.

This happened in Minnesota. A toilet tank exploded after it completely froze.

OK, we're GTG around here, we leaped out of the deep freeze, 47f/7c ride today after single f digits.

We're 45f/7c for the next week, then still above freezing.

This'll get us halfway through the second big snow month, doin' fine so far....shhhhh...

That's off the hook!

This morning we had a five to ten minute zero visibility monsoon, localised to the Hutt Valley, a notoriously flood prone area, thankfully because of the extended dry spell we've been having the rivers were low and the storm water system worked like a charm, all the water wet away no problem. The onset of the rain was really sudden and bought traffic to a stand still, the folks strolling about in their summer attire were instantly soaked to the skin, on the plus side the rain was very warm and was gone as suddenly as it had arrived. When it stopped the place was like a steam bath, an hour later, you wouldn't have known there had been rain.....weird, almost like Australian weather.....

Blizzard conditions the last 5 hours. We're expected to get about 12 inches of snow, which is more than we usually get.

Major wind storm beginning Sunday morning.

Very strong southwest winds with frequent gusts of 100 to 110 km/h will begin over extreme Southwestern Ontario Sunday morning in the wake of a sharp arctic cold front blasting across the region. The damaging southwest winds will reach remaining areas by noon on Sunday.

Wind gusts of 120 km/h are likely in areas along the shores of Lake Huron and Lake Erie, as well as over higher elevations like the Dundalk Highlands.

The damaging winds will continue into Sunday evening, then will gradually start to diminish near midnight, except near Lakes Erie and Huron where they may persist most of the night.

Power outages are possible.

Flurries and blowing snow will also be issues to deal with Sunday afternoon into Monday.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.

Crap. It rained, then snowed, so there is a half inch layer of ice in the drive way under the snow. I have to get it off to be able to drive into the garage, even if the city plows the street. It is not going higher then 20F anytime soon.
