I've cut out alcohol...
congratulations Mr_G'_G', that can be tough for some folks.....
I guess that is part because of a big western cultural programing. I started to drink socially at bars, here in Brazil, at the age of 14. That's right you've heard right. It was not allowed but I guess the establishment just turned (probably still turns) the blind eye. I finally came to the (true inner) understanding, in 2012, that alcohol was indeed one of the worst, most damaging (personal and socially wise), most dangerous (and as Graham Hancock has said, one of the most boring) drugs there is. So I decided to keep it out of my life. Very, very small concessions have been made in order to try and taste (then spit out) local brews and a couple of weeks ago, half a glass of beer to celebrate the meeting of an old friend. But now, mostly I "demonize" it, for its source of great addiction and pain here (and throughout the world) and it is unfair in the face of other substance's prohibition. I believe in the entheogenic power of some (unfairly made illegal) substances in the proper and responsible set and settings.
Now, to be back on topic, I sort of reduced the intake of red meet a couple of years ago, but lost the discipline it takes to avoid it further, here, a barbecue country... There has been much discussion about the environmental issues of the cattle industry and etc, so I've been reflecting much on it lately. Much salt here, btw...
