Ha, much better the past week or so. It was brutal, we had one day a couple of weeks ago where it was 109 at my house. Luckily, I was in Seattle that day. I left my Crocs outside and they shrunk in the sun.

So, I had to see an orthpedic surgeon yesterday. No MRI, thank god. X-rays and an ultrasound and I hve lateral epicondylitis - or better know as tennis elbow. It hurts like a bitch. Physical therapy 2 x a week for 6 weeks then see the surgeon again. My 75 lb puppy that pulls on her leash isn't helping.

I've had that before. Give it time and don't stress it too much. It did take quite a long time but it did go away.

That's good advice. Time and a big tube of Voltaren gelTM.

My right elbow and forearm hurt from to much disc golf. Even typing and the mouse pad hurt to use. I learned to be a lefty on the mouse.

Get well soon, zgirl.

This was the view from my deck yesterday afternoon. It rained ash for two days. This fire is a litttle too close. But the wind direction has changed this morning so we feel a little safer today.

Thanks everyone. Yesterday was weird, the fire was actually much closer to us, only 3-4 miles, but because the wind was coming out of the south, the immediate danger to our neighborhood is over. The sun is shining, the sky is blue but the fire is just on the other side of the mountain that I can see outside my windows. So, as long as the wind keeps in this direction, we're ok. I feel bad for the people in the desert communities though, it's getting really scary for them. The fire grew to 33,000 acres overnight and still only 10% contained.

ditto^^^^^^
My brother used to live just north of Dodger Stadium on the way to Pasadena. I know that area and those hills well. I wonder and worry how much damage there is.

Over 37,000 acres so far and about 18 structures destroyed. One person died. The smoke smell is more noticable today in our area but the wind is still on our side so we're still ok for now. They have over 3,000 fire fighters but the terrain is such that it makes it impossible to battle this fire on the ground.
