i think most if not all of lynch's output would qualify.

same goes for the last 2 horror films i watched:
honeymoon & mockingbird.
+ those vhs found footage films.
those things are by and far the cream of the found footage crop.
oops, almost forgot - imo.

also, you know what else... antichrist.
maybe beyond creepy.
just... demented.

also (forgot about/haven't seen these lately, however... still creepy... if i remember correctly):

The Changeling is one of my favourite horror movies. I like how it begins very creepy and then turns out to be a more interesting and complex plot.

These are the scariest I've seen.

Check out the new John McNaughton flick THE HARVEST (I watched it on-demand recently).
Don't read anything about it. Had one of those rare: "Woah Woah! Woah!" moments, didn't see that coming. Creepy as hell. Plus the young lady in the film is gonna be a huge star, I think. Impressive.
