Plook, your speculation is way out of line. Just because he did something that upset Gail and at some time he's been charged as a sex offender, does not imply in any reasonable mathematical sense that the two can be put together. It could have been any number of things including perhaps the money claim of the original Mothers against FZ or something nasty Roy might have said to the press or whatever. There are all kinds of things people do to upset each other, it's a hell of a stretch to say that Gail was upset with Roy (very vague) and Roy's a sex offender, therefore the upset probably involved him doing something nasty to one of her kids.

It's not the Roy you should look at in that scene, it's the little toddler with blonde hair you can see at the start of that scene.

Yes, I know that little Moon is crawling around in that scene and we all know the Zappa household was unconventional. Are you saying that this was an example of Frank being a negligent or even abusive parent? I don't. It does bother me a bit to see the two groupie babysitters blowing cigarette smoke in Dweezil's face. Then again, it was 1971 and people didn't really make a big deal about second hand smoke in those days. I still don't see what any of this has to do with Roy.

There was a time when I idealized the Zappa household from afar because I had such conservative parents. Now, not so much.

I agree that narrows the field of choices but it's still a very wide open field. Just as KillUgly says about the Wild Man Fisher incident, if the thing with Roy involved their own children, I doubt they would have been in the slightest bit forgiving about it, but even there I'm just speculating without any real evidence.

I agree I watch those 48 hours shows all the time and they convict people all the time with very little real evidence and I don't like that, maybe I am a little more sensitive when it comes to kids...I raised and helped raise so many I can't find any ground for understanding anyone who would hurt a child intentionally...I guess I am no better than the common idiot, because when I read he was twice convicted and was arrested a third time, then there is some prior bad act that was never exposed in his past...I'm jumping to conclusions....sorry.

I've just read that he got 25 years of prison, without a chance being released earlier... oh dear lord what a way to end a life
