For those of you who haven't seen it, the books trace the evolution of Frank's music through his recordings--both legit and bootleg. The first half of the books include a thorough discography of official and bootleg releases, while the second half features reviews of all known bootleg recordings 1959-1974 (to date) including transcriptions of stage announcements from (mostly) FZ.

Taken together, the books form a sort of "living biography" of FZ through the only thing that should truly matter: his music.
