I don't know if it has been mentioned it but Guitar Center has a compilation CD that has DZ (ZPZ) playing "Magic Carolina". It is free and is called "Fresh Cuts" (has a pic of some guy getting his hair shaved on cover). You may want to hurry to get it if you can since they brought out a new one and the old one is almost gone.
Be well all.

What went wrong in the real world....

Have a great day...Tricia

Those familiar with the 2007 ZPZ TDF should be able to put on a Sherlock Holmes Hat and figure out what this is. Great to see this track getting out to guitarists who may not have seen the band yet.

While many of the Guitar Center artists band myspace pages are listed I was surprised to see no additional info except artist and track listing for Dweezil Zappa. Anyhow this has been pleasantly spinning in my CD player where for me it acts as a teaser until his 2007 ZPZ TDF CD & DVD Projects are released.

Shouldn't you be complaining that this post is off-topic, considering that the "Frank Zappa" section of the board is for discussion of Frank's works, and this is a Dweezil thread?

Guitar Center is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

The 61-year-old company -- the biggest musical instrument retailer in the United States -- had tried to stay afloat during the coronavirus pandemic by offering virtual music lessons. But Guitar Center was forced to close many of its stores in March during nationwide lockdowns, and it struggled to get customers to buy instruments as the economy headed south.

Guitar Center has 269 locations, many of which are in malls that had been struggling long before Covid-19. Foot traffic in malls has plummeted, and stores like Guitar Center that are dependent on people making discretionary purchases have been among the worst-hit this year.

The company said in its bankruptcy filing that it received up to $165 million in new equity investments and lenders agreed to reduce the company's debt by nearly $800 million.

The company will continue to stay in business during the bankruptcy process. But it may not be able to capitalize on the holiday shopping boom. More than a quarter of Americans — 28% — say they will spend less on holiday gifts this year compared to last year, Gallup said in a new poll, marking the highest percentage Gallup has recorded in this category since 2012.
