Happy Valentines Day !!!
Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine.

My dog died last year on Valentine's Day,seriously. As a result I'm thinking about him instead of flowers and candy... :(

That's sad, LaMarr... my condolences. That's a nice looking dog.

On a similarly somber note, on Valentine's Day 2000 I broke up with my long-distance girlfriend over the phone. I felt like a real dick too, but the "little voice" inside my head told me it was time. Probably should have done it a week earlier, but I was young and confused then. Now, fortunately, I'm just confused. And my waist line is bigger. How's that for personal growth?

Last year I got a beautiful musical card from Stewie in the mail (I sort of hinted at getting it). I still have it on my fridge. I didn't know that he would soon be gone from this life. I can finally think of him without getting torn up anymore. I can remember the good things without thinking about how it all ended up.

This year there is the renewal of hope. It's a new life, a corner turned. A new adventure begun.

I'm happy it's Valentines Day!

My biggest Valentine's Day memory is from 1982....picking up my new car (a Firebird Formula).
Different memories starting with this year, though. :)

Aw man. That just sucks. It sucks and tops my heart wrenching story of how no one remembered me in 4th grade class where everybody exchanged cards. I got no Valentines Day cards. Making it worse the nun broad casted it to the class. Making it worser some girl erased her name off a card and gave me hers out of pity.

Sorry about Sammie.

Thanks for your condolences everyone. My wife and I don't have any kids, and Sammie was the heart & soul of our small family. We couldn't help thinking about him yesterday, the one year anniversary of his death.

The good news is we now have another dog who is just as wonderful as Sammie, his name is Brady.

Beautiful dog, dawg.

I raised boxers for about a decade.
Intelligent and fun friends.

Best boxer memory of the moment;

took mine canoeing when he was about 6 months old.

we were cruising along and the river was like glass -

and he stepped out of the boat trying to walk on water.

did a complete somersault underwater and I barely caught him by the collar.

good times.
