Favorite Grand Wazoo tune? Mine would be Blessed Relief, hence the name.

I love all of them, they are all mofos. I love Eat that Questions very, very much. All that feel and those guitar and keyboard solos, get out of here... I love Blessed Relief and its beauty...

But Cletus is just too fun to be true...

Reety-awrighty!

I love the entire album, but hands down, "Blessed Relief" wins me over. Hell, I'm actually in the middle of a little Jazz Ensemble arrangement of it as a practice of strenching my arranging ability, and me wanting to hear it in that context (besides the arrangement Le Bocal did). It's coming along pretty well too :)

Right now, I'd have to go with "Eat That Question"...

I chose 'Blessed Relief' only because it is a great Zappa Virgin-listener introduction and I like to think it refers to FZ having his plaster cast removed following the London Rainbow accident.

Well, traditionally my fave has been Grand Wazoo. However, lately I've become enamoured with Calvin. So I think I'll go with that. It's certainly the quirkyest song on the album, and the arrangement in the last 2 minutes of the song is incredible. :)

There's not a dead spot on the whole album. Not even one bad note. That Frank: what a guy!

Probably my favorite Zappa album. Every track is awesome but I chose Eat That Question because of the George Duke intro and the ripping guitar solo.

My favorites are The Grand Wazoo and Blessed Relief but I think Wazoo wins - it's a fantastic composition.
The intro to Eat That Question is awesome but I have always thought it's a very overrated song ...

First time i heard this album was the cd version.
And I remember how this album just exploded when pushing the play button, What an incredible song and what a start for an album!
So its the Grand Wazoo for me 8)

I like all the tunes, but Blessed Relief is my favorite, great soloing from all involved. I really love Marquez' trumpet solo on that one. I also dig Cletus a lot, with George Duke's killer tack piano playing.

I know I've said this before, but sometimes I wish FZ had made a couple more of these jazzy big band albums. And who knows what's lurking in the vault, there's got to be some alternate takes of these tunes...

I'd love to see this one get the "MOFO" treatment with a four disc format.

Honestly, I've always seen this album as one continuous song with five movements.

it is a hard choice, seeing as it's such a great lp. after seeing zpz twice last tour, i was really into eat that question--boy, did they do a great job! made me go back to the original a couple a times. frank has such a great time singing on cletus, it's hard not to choose it  but, it has to be blessed relief for me. too beautiful for words. fab tunes---everyone a mazarati!
