I don't know how much she spent, it would be instructive if there are invoices kept for the items. One of my worries for an auction was if anything valuable or meaningful would be sold. I think on the whole not. The ZFT have disposed of the house and whether for ill or for will it has happened. What Julien's is doing is storing the stuff which can't be moved for lack of room in the Zappagen houses, which is fair enough. I attended an auction last year, the deceased gave instruction that all his houses be sold; the ones in the UK to have their contents sold off. It was extraordinary. Stuff sold at auction for multiples of what you could buy new or second hand. Never underestimate the slightly wealthy in a race against time to grab a souvenir. And the premium was 25% and 20% VAT ( uk sales tax) on the 25% premium. I was lucky, I got what I really wanted and was the only hippy in the room, bidding for it.

I like the idea of buying his teeth fillings. If there is enough DNA on them, I could grow my own Frank!

Vintage copy? So it's a copy made a long time ago?

Presumably a form letter, so a "copy," but still the actual copy addressed to FZ.

You don't need beer to have fun, either, but it's still nice to have it.

In fact, I'm pretty sure beer was involved in all of that.

This makes my blood boil.

Why would they sell of their fathers guitars? Dumb.....

Some random shmuck will end up with FZ's Blonde Strat for way under market value. This decision is a travesty.

Current bid is 27,500.

You gonna tell the winner that he's a shmuck , S4B ?

Why don't you buy it instead ?

You're always on here telling everybody how good the Obama economy is.

Put your money where you big mouth is.

Of course on the other hand , it could be a ' fake ' guitar .

Yeah, $27,500.00. Not under market value I'd say. I'm surprised they started the bidding so low. When I saw that I thought if I was only doing a little better financially I'd take a stab at it.

I thought it would have been a steal at the estimated 4 - 6k expected price.
If the economy had been better in the past 6 yrs , there would have been a few things in the auction that I would have gone for.
Guess I'll have to be content with the lp he signed for me and of course , the hand. ( even though he didn't sign it for me )

Auctioning off FZ's guitars is a shmuck move and at 27 grand, way under value. Terrible decision. I can see claymation figurines and other items. FZ's Guitars? Dumb all over. They should have stayed in the family.

wow

"forget about the brotherly and otherly love".....

There's something morally wrong going on here.

Who sells their father's guitar(s) knowing full well they had been gifted by your FATHER to your B R O T H E R ?
