Primus - Ambushing The Storm Tour 2017

Three shows announced:

December 29th The Wiltern, Los Angeles
December 30th The Wiltern, Los Angeles
December 31st The Fox, Oakland CA

Primus is always a fun show. No ticket yet. Id rather go to this than Todd. Just because TR is on NYE.

^ Didn't make the show.

On this Saturday the 20th I'll be at the new House Of Blues in Anaheim. It's tribute night. My friend is in American Zombie (Rob Zombie tribute). This'll be my first visit to the venue which opened last March.

I hope DZ will book shows there soon.

Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers are touring together this summer. Does anybody have an opinion about this one?

Steely Dan have announced a tour with the Doobie Brothers. The dates kick off in May in North Carolina and currently extend through July. Find Steely Dan’s itinerary at their official site. The band’s new tour dates arrive following the death of guitarist and founding member Walter Becker in September 2017.

After Becker’s death, Fagen filed a lawsuit against Becker’s estate over the band name. The lawsuit referenced an agreement that allegedly stated that whenever a member of the group quits or dies, the rest of the band would purchase that member’s shares in the group. Becker’s estate responded, “We believe the agreement to which Mr. Fagen refers in his suit—drafted 45 years ago—was not in effect at the time of Walter’s death.”

Way overpriced. $100 for nosebleeds at the LA Forum.

Larry Carlton did the Classic West show last summer when Walter couldn't makeit due to illness. I'd sure like to see him play once.

When Fagen dies that's when Steely Dan shows are really gonna get good. The setlists will be much more interesting and there will be better vocals. I'm holding out for the first tour after Fagen's death.

You just need to go see http://www.steelindan.com. They’re playing at the Crest Theater in Sacramento on February 18th.

^ Fuck Yeah! I hope they play Yer Gold Teeth 2! And they better play the guitar solo exactly right or else I'll go see Reaming In The Ears on the 29th at the Tip Top Lounge in Fort Bragg.

I've turned over a new leaf. I love tribute bands and I like 'em best when all of the original artists are dead. I'm gonna start cashing in, you see. There's a lot of money to be made off death, grief and nostalgia. Baby boomers are like sitting ducks for this shit. I'm also investing heavily in Adult Care Facilities. And a hologram Simon and Garfunkel tour of Memory Care Facilities. I hope you're getting in on this. Cha-ching!

^^You can make fun of me if you like for this, but I’m going to see Beatles vs. Stones in a month. It wasn’t on my radar but my sister’s going and it’s within walking distance from my place. I’m sure I’ll have a good time.

Is there the potential for an OC/DC vs. TNT rumble in the parking lot after the show? That...I would pay to see.

:P ^Sorry to inform you that OC/DC has been broken up for over a year now.
I don't really have time for that anymore. :P

Plus, I don't rumble. I hate jails.

Maybe you can get a singer from a Guns ‘N’ Roses tribute band to join up with you guys to get it going again.

We drove down and it was so overcrowded, we left. Good thing the drive was less than a mile from my friend's place.

Turns out it was a complete sell out at 2,200. 100's were waiting outside. That would have been us if we tried the entrance line wait. :P
