Ya didn't have to pay for it either. Just play bass. Sounds like a deal. 8)

^ It was, what we call in the business, a 'paid practice(rehearsal)'. There was about 15 people watching during one set. That's including the staff. Jellyfish activity was low to non-existent. Plooked out from shopping, most likely.

I bought a VIP both for 8 for the Las Vegas ZPZ show on April 25 '15, anyone interested in coming to the show, if I get more people I will get a second both!:

I need someone to drive with me. I'll rent a car but need to split gas and hotel. It'll save anyone from up here from $200 bucks + with the airfares being between $300 up from, Sac.,SFO,OAK,SJ..
From Sac. to Bakersfield 4hrs? over Tehama pass to Barstow 2-1/2 and 2hrs on to LV baby! Give 'er take 2 hours or so. :|
I'd even like to go over hwy 88 and down hwy 395 & share driving. Leave before noon Friday as this is on a Sat. night in LV. Beautiful drive until you have to cut east from the Sierra's. Go by, check it out, and grab a motel room that fits late Fri. and "rest" until then. :D
Where's KUIII in all this. He might be real busy or need a break about then. I just can't see paying that much for flyin' when tix are less+the hotel etc. is all less combined than the plane fare...we're too close and the got us! I'll drive by meself if need be, thank you vedy much. :(

This should be posted in the west coast Zappaphiles chapter (I haven't it checked yet) 8)

FYI - This show will most likely not sell out. The venue info says the GA floor holds 2,000 @ $40 a ticket. I cannot commit as of yet. Good info to know if anyone decides to cruise up at the last minute. 8)

I'm in for the Vegas ZPZ Getaway (see my post on Plook's page). Other maybes are the Tubes again at the Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln on Friday, January 9th. If I go I'll just be a responsible citizen that night and drive home as rooms are crazy expensive at that place. Another potential show is Mike Stern and Eric Johnson at the Cascade Theater in Redding on Thursday, January 29.

I posted this also in Plook on Tour for ZPZ LV 4/25/15

Ok here is the preliminary plan and cost, for people coming from Nor Cal:

Leaving Friday April 24 (4 days out)

We are renting a full size Suburban that seats (8)
We will stay at motel 6 in Barstow Friday
We will drive into Vegas Saturday
Stay at the Flamingo
VIP booth for show (includes $350 of food and drinks with tax & gratuity pre-paid)
Leave Sunday after check out (so everyone can sleep it off)
Stay Sunday at the Best Western in Barstow (this includes a breakfast on Monday)
Drive home Monday

So far it comes to $380.00 each (including gas), but a I may be able to get some cost down on the rental and rooms due to my Travel points from work.

If anyone wants to join us from other states or areas we would just had them in where they join up and their share would be less. If enough people are interested I can get another VIP both.

I can order it with a minimum of (2) tickets but have to pay the Food & drink minimum purchase which is $350 plus taxes and gratuity; we can then add up to 6 more tickets which would be a maximum of 8.

If we have enough interested individuals for this I can get the adjoining both still. I could also use the discount code for the rooms and my work discount code and possible drop the price of the rooms at the Flamingo significantly.

So who is interested!! I know coevad, PIB and Duchamp are considering…maybe we could get some of you others to meet us in Vegas!!!

Sounds great! I'm sleeping on a bed this time though (or at least a cot). I'm getting too old for the sleeping bag on the floor routine.

^Sometimes you just have to know when to catch and release when it's comes to jellyfish trolling. Neutral.

I'm kind of surprised Dweezil isn't involved with that as big of a Randy guy as he is.

Decided to go see the Tubes again next Friday. This will be the 10th time I've seen them ( the first time being in 1979).

It's at the Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln. I'm going to be a good boy and just drive down for the show (and maybe some food and very little gambling). Rooms are crazy expensive there.

Fuck those Indian casinos! I hope the sound is better than at JW. That's not too bad a drive for you either. 8) Have a great time, stay safe, and give my best to Fee! I saw you checking out his assless chaps!

I've been to this place before. It's in a pretty small room. Not too bad. Much better situation than the Johnny Winter thing. Mainly I just need an excuse to go be social. It's been awhile.

^ Oh yeah. They did a Namm show thing one year ago. A summer concert followed in June 2014.
