Then suddenly...we encountered an issue, RG is a huge lightweight and we have to pace her drinking and we were having so much fun and at so many locations we somehow got her just over the top and it mess's with her blood balance and I had to take her out for some fresh air, it almost became a medical emergency when one of the sharp eyed bar tenders gave her a red bull which she downed half and was back to normal in 10 minutes. Well that incident caused me to miss 3 songs I really wanted to hear "We are Not Alone, Brown Moses (this is a biggy for me), and Heavenly Bank Account" which we came back in at the end of.

We discussed this and realized she had a glass of wine and a mini shot at the room, a glass of wine at dinner, we stopped at one of those neat little shops on the corner and got a little smoke=able (they are as frequent as Starbucks in San Francisco), she had a glass of wine at the bar, and two plastic cups at the show...while she's a 3 glass's of wine girl, 5 glass's didn't seem over the top in a 3+ hour period...But some investigation of the picture from before the show revealed a drink we did not know she had and that glass is be full...

Zomby Woof - I Have Been in You - Broken Hearts Are for Assholes - Big Swifty

Image

I am the Slim with Gretchen Menn from Zepparella tore it up with DZ, nice period there... :!:

Image

Image

Image

Image

And the crowd cried out for more... :D

The encore starts with Muffin Man with what do you know Italian guitarist Daniele Gottardo who happens to be Gretchen's husband... 8)

Image

The rest of the encore; Black Napkins (we did some serious dirty dancing to this one) the horn version extended to the max which it is RG's favorite Zappa song, we danced very provocatively (Baby wasn't in the corner... ) we even caught Scheila getting a kick out of our dedication to it all - the always fun Montana - Sofa No. 1 (made me think of Dean)

Image

Image

Take a bow... :o

Image

Back to the Bar...

Image

I hadn't shot pool in a while but I still kicked ass... :smoke:

Image

We really liked this piece hanging in the bar which by the way was playing only Frank Zappa Music... 8)

Classic view of Golden Gate from back in the day...

Bonus Footage RG Kat on the Streets...

Allay Kat...

Isn't that the car from Indiana Jones... :o

Stay tuned for additional episodes of Plook on Tour...

It's a Thursday Special Addition of Plook on Tour DZ Concert 3 Part Special Addition (that will actually take 5 Parts)... :o

A look back at the days before Social Distancing... :(

There must be a morning after...

We got up realitively early grabbed some coffee and headed down to the Wharf...

Image

RG completely recovered from me accidently ruffying her... :smoke:

Image

We saw the Rock (not the actor)... :P

Image

Apparently I got the crabs...

Image

And gave them to RG...

Image

We checked out Pier 39... :)

Image

We decided to have an early lunch at the Pier Market with Clam Chooder, a dozen Clams, and Crab Cakes (the pic didn't come out but it was marvelous darling)... :D

Image

Wonderful day, wonderful view... 8)

Image

Knob Hill... :)

Image

We are thoroughly convinced this Rocket Boat the Bay Rocket that seats between 60 and 80 people on the deck of a giant Cigarette Boat in basically fold out chairs is an insurance nightmare...

Image

There is plenty of cool unique architecture on the Wharf...

Image

Thankfully we had flowers in our hair...

Image

A definite Landmark... :!:

Image

The view from our room was quite different for us we usually stay at the water, we went Metro on this trip... :o

Image

Image

When I was young at my sisters wedding in 1977 I saw one of their friends jump in a Corvair and drive backwards down the street (well) at high speed, I immediately thought is I have to be able to do that and so I am to this day an expert at driving backwards and backing in...the hotel had a challenging parking lot at best, a very step driveway, impossibly small spots, structural columns in all the wrong places, it is a virtual obstacle course...so I took my Equinox whipped it around on the street and backed in at a clip and stuck the landing, RG was impressed but she already knew I had mad skills...

It's a Tuesday Special Addition of Plook on Tour DZ Concert 3 Part Special Addition (that will actually take 5 Parts)... :o

Looking back at the days before Social Distancing... :(

Valentines Day Dinner... :D

When we were walking around the Wharf on that Friday we decided we would like to eat at Alioto's, it's a popular really nice Restaurant on the second floor of a building they have a Mezzanine floor so it is quite elevated with a fantastic view.

We walk in at 2 or 3 pm and ask about dinner reservations and the gal kind of chuckled and said they were booked but they had an opening at 9:30 PM, we said we were looking for something earlier... about that time a guy and another girl that worked there walked up and they began to talk and they asked my name, so I gave them my long ass Italian last name with to many vowels and they said be here at 6:30 PM and we will get you in.

I told RG that last name has gotten me a lot of good tables in restaurants and she said she was amazed we got in, then she saw our table when we returned that evening and she said you weren't kidding we scored a prime window table with a view of the wharf and sunset on the Golden Gate Bridge...

Image

She had Rigatoni Bolognese and it was phenomenal... :!:

Image

I went with Seared Ahi Tuna and it was awesome, I'm not a big rice guy but it was great too... 8)

Image

This was something I never saw before, who knows what it is... :?: :?: :?:

Image

RG looking like she is plotting world domination or she's mad at the waiter...

Image

What a great date... :D

Image

Back on the Wharf...

Image

Image

Image

We walked the piers... 8)

Image

This place was across the street from the wharf and two piers over from us and the TV was so big I could tell what was going on in the basketball game...

Image

We found Scomas at the end of a pier and they had a classic bar in back, the bar tenders name was Nick, fuggedaboutit!... :smoke:

Image

Image

This Gem was out back... :o

Image

RG working the Pier...

The golf courses are closed, the house is stuffed with goods from my daily trips to the store, I already wrestled the Jellyfish this morning, it's sprinkling outside so working out there is off, TV gets to be a bit much even though we have seen some excellent movies lately, started a new book my friend sent me about 70's icon surfer Jerry Lopez, I'm just a little at a loss here for what to do next, where is I normally know what is going on three days in advance... :?
