Enjoy OSFA!

Cheers Plook, we all had a great time, little Cookie weathered all the hellos and goodbyes like the storm trooper she is.....

I got this e mail today: We are contacting you regarding your tickets to KISS at Spark Arena on the 3rd of December 2019.

Due to a bad case of Influenza, doctors have advised Paul Stanley to rest for the next few days and not undertake the long trip from Los Angeles to Perth tomorrow. The Perth concert has now been rescheduled from the beginning to the end of the Australian tour and will now take place on Tuesday, the 3rd of December.

After the Australian dates, KISS will depart immediately for a Japanese tour. Therefore, the show originally on the 3rd of December at the Spark Arena in the hell hole that is Auckland cannot be rescheduled and will unfortunately be cancelled.

KISS sincerely apologises to the fans.

The Auckland date will be re-planned for a later stage of the ‘End Of The Road’ World Tour.

This makes the third concert cancellation of 2019.....Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica and now Kiss.....

I'll make some calls tomorrow and if I can swing it and depending on Cookie's condition, I'm planning on using the renamed f@#k you Kiss road trip to get her up to Keri Keri in the far North of the North Island and spend a little time with the old family friends the late Hone's family on their home marae for a little traditional spiritual healing.....

I think I’ve only had one cancelled show in my life. In the late ‘80’s I drove 90 minutes to see Joe Satriani with a friend only to find an empty parking lot at the venue. This was pre-internet obviously and any notices of cancellation would probably have been announcements on the local rock radio stations. Apparently everybody got the word except for me. :|

My only canceled concert was in 1982 at the Hollywood Palladium (great venue) had great seats waited hours to get the perfect bar table to view the show (the venue capacity was 5000 but it only had seating for maybe people in bar balcony tables that over looked the stage).

I believe Blue Steel (a reggae band opened) followed by Jools Holland and the Polar Bears (formally of Squeeze), then the Headliner XTC cancelled the show ended and they never played another Concert... :(

My Dweezil show in February took the place of any other potential shows during that time period. I also need to see how my health is before planning anything else. I’m having some issues that need to be resolved before doing any more traveling.

The Stranglers on December 8th. When Hugh Cornwell left, I always thought that his stuff would interest me the most. However, the band's most recent album "Giants" ranks with their best, whereas Cornwell has degenerated completely into boring soft rock. When he does Stranglers' numbers, he does them without the keyboards and heavy bass - which kind of defeats the point of Stranglers' songs.

The America concert was a great night out for all concerned,
we ate far to much Chinese food at a little place were the wee dishes
and tiny glasses just keep on coming until you wave the white napkin.
Weirdly we arrived at the gig earlier then planned which led to maybe,
just maybe a little too much pre concert beverage consumption by
some members of our well oiled little party.....
The venue was The Opera House which is acoustically pretty good,
the music was excellent and dragged us kicking and screaming
back and when I say back, I mean alllll the way back too th' 70's.....
and some of us (in a thick Scottish accent) "did nah want too gooooo"
and got a little emotional when the harmonies began and was eventually
asked to leave and "did nah want too gooooo" and had to be removed by
security team alpha, and oh so narrowly escaped arrest and a night in the cells,
thanks to a fast talking Cookie in a pushup bra, she over-applied the special
intoxicating perfume and the remnants of security team alpha were putty
in her hands, maybe it was her fluorescent purple wig.....the girls a star.....
We laughed and laughed and laughed until I was sick, then we laughed some more,
it was awesome.....one of those magical nights.....

Chunky "does nah remember a thing" :o not

some adventures had on

The non Kiss/Cookie's "you can't keep a bad girl down" farewell tour part three

featuring the fluorescent purple wig, to follow.....

^^^Vocally they killed and musically, glad you enjoy...to much booze helps grease your way through the time machine to the 70's, but technical difficulties can arise... :smoke:
