Monday Night Pro Jammz”…yeah baby!
Chris Roy-Bass
Jamie Kime-Guitar
Special Guest on Drums & Guitar
Anything Goes
Jamm Night Bring Your Axe
$10.00

While on the Baked Potato website I noticed that the following are playing there on Nov 10:

Mike Miller Super All Stars
Chad Wackerman…Awesome Drums
Jimmy Johnson…Mega Bassss…
Walt Fowler…Blowing Trumpet
Mike Miller…Burnin’ Guitar

I thought Walt Fowler didn't play much anymore. I'd love to go to that if I was in LA that night!

Wish I could meet you there. I love that place.
Hope Jamie plays a tune from his CD - Alleys for you. I bought it there at a Joe Travers gig. Shinebox is a great one
Enjoy!

Just got back from the show. Jamie was in good form w/ great tone control. At one point Jamie asked the audience if we could hear everything, if it sounded good. Chad warned him that he probably shouldnt ask that question to an audience of musicians, hahaha... My first time seeing Chad Wackerman since the 88 tour, great player. The jam kept going after I left, but i gotta get up for work in 4 hours as it is. Picked up Alleys for You and didn't come close to finishing that potato!

Actually, Walt has been with James Taylor for a while now.

Went to Zappafest 2017 last weekend at Shank Hall in Milwaukee. It is the longest running FZ fest in North America, only a few years after Zappanale.

Image

It was fun. I missed last year, but went 2 years ago, so this is my 2nd time.
I totally missed the opening band. I got there when Dr. Chow's Love Medicine got going. As with the last time I saw them, they have great enthusiasm, but are kinda shaky performers. Wacky seems to be the key term.

After that were The Mirror Men, a Beefheart tribute. Better than Dr. Chow's, but not great imo.

Gozortenplat was very good. Maybe I liked em a bit more the last time I saw em, but still very enjoyable.

No biggy we will not be doing the "Full Draper" tonight...work day, Christmas, and what not...but if you want to meet AG and I in Rockaway Beach near Pacific at Nicks New Years Eve we will be doing a "Full Draper Deluxe"...Warning the going out with AG & Plook can be hazardous to your health side effects can include but not limited to...extreme fun, a lot of drinking, dancing, great conversation, stumbling, falling down, puking, passing out, waking up confused, headaches, hang overs, and jellyfish stings... :smoke:

I saw Steve Hackett this year in spring. The first half of the show was material from his solo career, the second half was a genesis-revisited program, basically focused on the wind and wuthering album.

Considering going to see John 5 April 15th. I've been aware of him for a long time but never really gave him a listen until recently. I really like the clips I've been viewing on YouTube and I really enjoyed a new interview he did this week on Dean Del Ray's Let There Be Talk podcast. I consider myself a fan now. https://www.harlows.com/event/1604850-j ... acramento/

Tomorrow our epic road trip to the hell hole that is Auckland for the Roger Waters concert begins. I'll be zigzagging my way up country, collecting a motley assortment of antiquated concert goers and rock'n'roll relics along the way. We've managed to assemble most of the old firm, so all the ingredients are there for an excellent adventure or three..... 8)

We've got Gold placed tickets for the may 9th show in Lyon, France. Can't wait. Gonna have to make a detour to Ardèche to pick up some of the organic weed they specialize in down there.

(to the best of my knowledge)

Roger Waters – bass, lead vocals, guitars, politics, fist bump
Dave Kilminster – guitars, bass, talk box, backing vocals
Gus Seyffert – guitars, bass, keyboards, backing vocals
Jonathan Wilson – guitars, keyboards, lead and backing vocals
Drew Erickson – piano, keyboards, Hammond organ
Jon Carin – piano, keyboards, programming, lap steel guitar, guitars, lead and backing vocals
Ian Ritchie – saxophone, additional bass
Joey Waronker – drums, percussion
Jess Wolfe – lead and backing vocals, percussion (from the band Lucius)
Holly Laessig – lead and backing vocals, percussion (from the band Lucius)

Fantastic body shaking sound, (Roger is apparently still researching the use of the brown note) stunning visuals that just kept on coming, cried like a baby on more than one occasion (blamed the fog machine) met some very very nice front row people, we all pooled our resources and by the time Roger arrived our little "party" was well and truly peaking.....sang our little heads off and danced our not so little feet off, and the years fell away.....our merry bunch partied on until the wee hours, we boogied back into the hotel at around 5:00am..... 8)

10 out of 10.....

The actual road trip portion of our little adventure achieved legendary status for the combined age (666) of the participants alone. Among the cohort we had a three cracked ribs a sprained ankle a couple of low blood sugar diabetic events an unexplained black eye and more than one life threatening coughing fit bought on by extended bouts of unbridled laughter.....I myself came through exhausted but physically unscathed, mentally, well, only time will tell..... 8)

Nobody died.....

10 out of 10.....
