If you don't mind me asking, what did your insanity package run you?

A smidge over NZ$1200.00.....

I have a power point presentation all prepared to justify the purchase to the accountant

If my calculations are correct, that's only $828.00 US so we'll let you keep your credit card. Actually, that's quite alright to support a fine American artist like Alice. It's good for our economy.

Alice is playing in my neck of the woods in about a month on a Saturday night (w/ Skid Row who I could do without). Cheap seats are $40.00 plus fees. I might check it out. I've never seen Alice and we ain't getting any younger.

He always puts on a great show and his current band is hot.....$40.00 Go For It!

I went through about five days of internal debate(s) and pros and cons lists leading up to the tickets going on sale, I ignored all the results and "went for it"

I've been lucky enough to see several Alice shows dating as far back as the seventies.....The dye was cast when, in a burst of teenage rebellion after being explicitly banned (and rightly so) from attending a show by some guy called Alice!, I ran away from home, blagged my way to the hell hole that is Auckland for the welcome to my nightmare tour and got to meet him. I was grounded forever after that little adventure. Went to the hell hole again in 1990 for the Trash tour, and bumped into Alice at a flea market the day after the show (20 minute fan boy conversation with the man  ) Just happened to be in Brisbane, Australia in 2007 for a lame business conference, absconded from the "big awards dinner" and attended the psycho drama show which was on just across the road from the conference venue. Then again in 2008, as part of a two day extravaganza called Rock 2 Wellington. My most recent exposure was the 2015 Motley Crue final tour, Alice was their support act, and they needed all the support they could get.....By the time October roles around, the payment pain will be a distant memory.....

Now I just have to explain The Stranglers and Steve Hackett Genesis Revisited tickets

Great recap of your Alice experiences. There's been a few occasions when I thought about seeing him (mostly over the last 20 years) but circumstances always made me say no. That Motley Crue tour came around here too. There was a story in an area paper about Alice golfing at a local golf course (about an hour drive from where I live).

Did you know that's why Plook started playing golf?

He wanted to meet Alice Cooper

I had the pleasure of seeing Rikkha from Paris France and filming the full show too.

Paul Weller

Thanks,GG. I never got into The Jam initially but I know he's always had a lot of respect throughout his career. Maybe I should give him a second chance.

I know Weller has been on the Yep Roc label for a long time. I like a lot of their artists.

The show was great. Weller has still this rough, dirty, and loud sound, you wouldn't expect from a 59 year old Mod. He even played a few The Jam and Style Council tunes. But the hall was too small. I suppose they sold too many tickets. It was unbelievable hot and sticky. So I went outside a few times and caught a cold. Never mind. I'm glad I saw this British legend again. We are the Mods, we are the Mods ....

Hahahahaaaaa!

Glad you enjoyed Paul Weller My_Name_Isn't_Dietrich, shame about the crowdedness, but it all adds to the retro mod experience

The festival sounds like fun!

Almost got a free ticket and a ride to tonight's King Crimson show, but it fell through. Saturday in Oakland is sold out and Friday is too difficult for me. Shame they aren't playing in San Francisco.

Hey Fritz, that is probably the 1st time you have advocated something I'm not a fan of. (Although your preference of Prefab Sprout keeps your picks in the top 10 posters around here (of what, 30? Hahaha)

I'm not very familiar with Mrs. Williams, only got one album. But I think it could be a nice and relaxed evening.

Just picked up my ticket for Blue Oyster Cult 45th Anniverary show.

Venue - The Hanger @ The OC Fair July 16th. 14th row.

It seems that Kasim Sulton has a full plate with Todd Rundgren shows for the rest of the year. That means that Danny Miranda is back in BOC on bass guitar thru November.

The band is playing a lot of songs from their first album(1972).

Stone Free Fest in London - June 17th 2017

01 Transmaniacon MC
02 I'm on the Lamb But I Ain't No Sheep
03 Last Days Of May
04 Stairway to the Stars
05 Before The Kiss
06 Screams
07 She's As Beautiful As A Foot
08 Cities On Flame
09 Workshop of the Telescopes
10 Redeemed
11 Burnin' For You
12 Buck's Boogie
13 Godzilla
14 (Don't Fear) The Reaper
15 Tattoo Vampire
16 Hot Rails To Hell

Songs 1 - 10! That's the entire first album!
First album was also played in Rhode Island on the 8th.
