I can't wait! This is a great venue and within walking distance of where I live. Doesn't get much better than that.

Man, this isolation has got to my senses, I have not even noticed we're in 2022 already!

The only gig I've seen in the last year and 1/2 was:

Saw King Crimson with the Zappa Band last night in Springfield, MA. The show was moved from an outdoor venue to an indoor because of the potential storm damage.

That's really cool that they didn't cancel the show. 8)

The Residents, last Saturday:

They recorded the show, but they may not be able to use it. Some drunk asshole in the audience - who's visible in this picture - wouldn't shut the fuck up.

BTW: the keyboardist is none other than Eric Drew Feldman, who played in Captain Beefheart's Magic Band...

Went to the show on Saturday night. This is the first time I've been in this theater and WOW! This place was built in the mid 20s and has remained virtually unchanged ever since. The show was great in spite of a good amount of sound issues (this seems to be a common problem in older venues like this). I bought some cheap tickets, but one of the ushers noticed I was there by myself (my wife hates country music) and showed me to a single open seat in the front row of the balcony! The tickets for this spot were double what I paid! The opening band was ok at best, but well worth sitting through to see Dwight Yoakam! I can't say enough about his performance, he has a great sense of humor and likes to tease the crowd. He did several hit songs plus some covers. Some of the highlights were, Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother, by Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Merle Haggard's, Okie From Muskogee. Very glad I went to this! Got a cool t-shirt and a great memory! Keep up the good work Dwight!!

I'd highly recommend going to see him. On top of the fantastic music he tells some great stories.
And there was no proof of vaccination at this event. Masks were required while in the building, I would say about 1/3 were following this.
I'm pretty sure part of the reason I got moved up to a better seat was because I was one of the few wearing one.

I saw Todd Rundgren in an old theater in Napa a few years ago and it took the sound guy about three songs to get it dialed in but then it was on, the first three songs were pretty bad though... :o
