We had a jam packed day yesterday, did a beach tour at 6 am with coffee...got back to the Sails to freshen up and headed to the golf course for a 10:30 tee time, we ayed the round with an East Indian chap very nice guy, got back to Long Beach and headed to Belmont Shores played Arabic food at Open Sesame...RG found it incredibly tasty. Then we headed to a friends boat slipped in a channel off Bay Shore an amazing stunning area.

We came back to the room at 7:30 PM and decided to head to the Baked Potato in Studio City to see Frank Gambale with Boca a Jazz group that at times reminded me of Stealy Dan that could get unbelievable harmonies with multiple layers, we loved it.

Got back to Long Beach at 11:30 PM so we decided to head over to th Gaslamp which is next door to the Sails for 80's night, they let us in for free and RG spotted a empty VIP booth and snatched it up while I got our cocktails...this place is a sure bet party on any Friday night at least 300 people , we rocked out until 1:30 AM and decided to call it a day... :smoke:

Yesterday we slept in, then watched the Wimbledon men's doubles finals while drinking coffee and hanging out in the court yard.

Then we headed for Huntington Beach for lunch at Dukes, so freaking good...after lunch they had some tents up on the pier with artists selling their wears, I found a small piece of art glass to buy really neat.

The beach was packed traffic insanity and they were building the stands and other massive structures on the beach for the Surfing US Open, including a temporary skateboard park.

We made dash to escape that insanity and headed back to the Shores for the relative escape to my friends docked boat and enjoyable afternoon of sipping bear chatting with interesting people and watch all sorts of watercraft go bye including a boat that looks like a Hippopotamus.

After we left there we freshened up and headed to my buddy Frank's house and one of our other bros Rob showed up, it was very nice and Frank looked great for recently being diagnosed with cancer, having surgery, and starting chemotherapy...the guy looks as fit as ever and even has a tan.

It’s a Huntington Beach thing. You wouldn’t understand. A lot of animal rights activists are understandably very upset by this though.

Yesterday we watched the Men's Wimbledon Finals...awesome...then headed out for a nice breakfast at Mimi's Cafe, afterwards we headed down up to Norwalk and Downey for a memory lane tour.

On the way back we cut through Lakewood and Eldorado Park since I had a lot of connections there, finally we did Belmont Heights and downtown Long Beach before heading out to Bayshore to hang out on the boat in the dock of the bay where we watched the tide slip away and then come back in.

This is RG's favorite, it is just cool as hell of a spot and all sorts of interesting people just pop in and out over the hours, they had snacks, dips and chips, BBQed hot dogs and such...she met an Egyptian Man that is a Professor who teaches at the university and he left her autographed copy of a book he wrote with some really nice words for her, they must have talked for an hour on Saturday alone...the book is titled Divine Comedy.

Later that evening we went to Enrique's an excellent Mexican restaurant and that was it we were cooked... 8)
