So at my mom's celebration was one of my sisters good high school friends (I knew her since before high school), she showed up for a dinner the night before and my sister brought up that her and I had almost hooked up at my sisters first wedding in 1977 (it was huge we found all the stuff my mom saved), after the reception probably 50+ people showed up at my sisters house, I some how ended up in the spare room with the gal who had way much to drink and probably got obsessed with my Movie Star hair ( ) so we made out but I just instinctively knew I shouldn't sleep with her due to her intoxication (which I didn't, I put her in the spare room bed and slept on the living room couch).

She didn't remember we all laughed great memories, it came up at the celebration Saturday and I was saying it was an honor for me at the time to have a hot chick approach me and she flipped out and said everyone had to stop talking about, I said no problem and walked away...but she apparently continued and made mention that I was "a real asshole" and that she didn't want to hear about it again...she didn't notice that the Daughter Plook the Younger heard until she got the look (My baby girl is more than amply equipped to deal with any social situation like her mamma..kick ass and take names later...), when she saw my daughter approach she grabbed her stuff and left without a good bye.

The Gal is a University Administrator and seemed a bit full of herself with a touch of that's lifestyle "holier than though attitude", I told my daughters and sister "could you imagine if I slept with her that night, she would be 'Me Too'-ing me about it"...

LOL...Carnitis is pork usually a butt or shoulder slow cooked either in a crock pot, oven, or on a spit...then you put a quick fry flash on it (gets crispy on the edges like bacon) I prefer it shredded up some people do chunks, it looks like this:

KU came over Sunday the Daughter Plook the Younger was dealing with a health issue so we nixed the St. Patrick's Day spaghetti and opted for another Irish favorite a bow tie pesto pasta deluxe, baked asparagus (better than it sounds), and seared Ahi Tuna...

We watch the movie "Green Book" which turned out to be excellent, well written, great music, great cinematographer, and very good acting... :D

We went to Duke's on the HB Pier for lunch and ironically I did a pen and ink of this picture (90% dots very labor intensive) my senior year in High School and won an Art Award from LA County USD for it, which led to (2) Art scholarships... :smoke:

Plook Classic... :smoke:

Steve & Plook circa 1972-73, that Mustang got us to a lot of surf spots and skate spots... 8)

Image

Plook the grommet Circa 1972-73 with my 6'6" swallow tail Petrillo Surfboard, got my first killer big wave ride on that board on a well overhead left in Cardiff By the Sea in fog , truly exhilarating... :o

Image

Plook Circa 1976 my 7' custom made Robert August stinger swallow tail, that board road anything big or small, I took it to Hawaii in 1978 and surfed triple overhead Ala Moana (the swell tore the Buoy out of the harbor I was scared as fuck), also surfed way overhead Velzyland (super shallow and supper heart beat), and Little Pipeline which was a reaf on the East side that was about 3/4 of a mile off shore and we paddled out there (almost to easy to surf, if you didn't wipe out you could keep your hair dry)...

Image

Plook Circa 1979 with my baby a custom made 6'3" Robert August twin fin channel bottom stinger pintail with a 33" wide nose which was ahead of its time but made it so you could trim it like a longboard but when you got on the tail that was the most responsive surboard ever, I sold it to a guy in 1983 and tried to buy it back several times and other people who knew how it rode tried to buy it off him, but he would never sell it, that board had magic I regret to this day letting it go... :!:

Image

I have a shit load more pics I got to sort through...to be continued... :smoke:

Cool pics! Almost worse than losing my music collection in the fire was losing all my old pics, and newspaper clippings including a lot of sports stuff from the ‘70’s and a recreational sports column I used to write in the late ‘80’s. I’m sure most of the newspaper stuff is on microfilm somewhere but I’m not sure I have the inclination to look it all up. It might be something to do when I move back to the hometown and can visit the local library to see what they have. It would be cool to leave my kids a scrapbook of all that stuff.

Last Friday RG and I listened to FILLMORE EAST - JUNE 1971, she was laughing her ass off and had never heard it before...apparently it holds up, I especially enjoyed it with a newbie, great fun... :D

On a side note my sister had called earlier that Friday and asked if my girlfriend was coming over, I responded yes...she paused are you doing that thing tonight, I asked what thing?...that thing what's it called...then she just took a shot in the dark "Hillbilly Butt Fishing"...

No sis it's called Jellyfish Honey Badger Wrestling...I told her she's been living in Wyoming to long...

Hillbilly Butt Fishing is what Ned Beatty had to endure in Deliverance.
