Do you suppose he knows he's been immortalized in song by the greatest composer of our time?[/quote]
??? Good question. Well, if he's not hip enough, let's hope he has some friends who are and can give him a heads up.

Let's start the Micheal H. Kenyon Foundation Trust...

We can collect money, so we can build a statue and place it somewhere in Washington DC...

Because, as the man said: ''You've heard of Richard Nixon, but this guy is better...''

And, in the American tradition, all True American Icons should be rewarded by some kind of statue...

How about a statue of a woman, lying down, tied up and receiving a enema by Micheal...???

I take it Francie_Brady thinks Frank was a jerk then. I'll have to disagree. Everyone is a jerk at some point, but overall I don't think Frank was a jerk. THE ILLINOIS ENEMA BANDIT was a funny song that made fun of a pathetic loser. I think that was one of the things that made FZ cool.

MentalFlossTycoon is right--jail is not the place to be when you're the Illinois enema bandit :(

Let me tell you something fun. A few years back, I purchased a CD of a jazz group named New Air. The title of the CD is Air Show N. 1 (on Black Saint, 1986). When I got back home, my jaw dropped when I saw track # 5: "Salute To The Enema Bandit" :o

That said, Michael Kenyon is a pathetic psycho.

The man had his problems but I like the idea of a bunn's up kneeling fountain of love in Washington D.C.
It should be filled with mud instead of water for the correct effect. ;D

The Weather Channel recently showed an interview with a typical farmer in Illinois to see how this summer's weather had affected the harvest. As the interviewer was walking over to the farmer they showed a barn with "Kenyon Brothers" painted on it. Then as fate would have it, they ran his name across the bottom of the screen while they were talking to him: "Michael Kenyon" ! You don't suppose... No, it couldn't possibly ... (No, it wasn't a rubber plantation)
This is what I've found on www.united-mutations.com:
Quote:
This entry is here for the "completists". Michael Kenyon is the infamous Illinois Enema Bandit. Per the news account:

"Michael H. Kenyon, 30, the suspected enema bandit who terrorized coeds at the University of Illinois for 10 years, has pleaded guilty in Urbana, Ill., to six counts of armed robbery. He has admitted administering enemas to woman victims in at least three of the six robberies."

FZ wrote "The Illinois Enema Bandit" as a ??tribute?? to this upstanding citizen.

Former FBI agent John Finley, who researched the case for FT, notes that Kenyon was a subscriber to Enema Digest, a specialist magazine for devotees of water sports. There is no record of further enema assaults since 1981.

"Enema Digest" is mentioned in the song "Porno" by the Limbomaniacs, a very Zappa influenced funk/rock band from
California. Their lyrics dwell on sexual and scatological themes. At least one of the members is part of the Zappa cover band Caca.

From: "D.G. Porter" (dgporter@pacbell.net)
I heard some years ago that a guy was waiting in the unemployment office, and he heard the name "Michael Kenyon" called out, and it was the guy sitting next to him, and he asked the guy if he'd ever heard of someone named Frank Zappa, and the guy bolted from his seat right out of the building.

From: Steve Cobham (steve@XSPAMguitarsMAPSX.powernet.co.uk)
Everything is true about this story.
It must be - they even made a video about it: http://adultshoppingcenter.com/p67.htm

From: Paul Gamble (gamma@beeb.net)
I watched a movie called 'Forbidden Cargo' & the lead character was called Michael Kenyon ????
is this a chicago-incedent or a Cohen see dance
