What happened to Zappa Forum?

Has everyone left and gone over to Myspace or Twitter?

Here is my earlier plea to rescue the piano from Woodrow Wilson blvd.

Could I make a plea to the website owner.

Because I am a UK citizen I could not contemplate buying the former residence of Frank and Gail. I know that Frank true to his ideals of buying the best equipment he could at no little expense to perform music made a significant purchase when he earned a few thousand $$$$ in 1960 or 1961 ( slime will correct me on this) He bought the most expensive or the best guitar in the Gibson catalogue, it might have been $999.00 or of that order of magnitude just when I was being born. It could be said that it was his 'worldly good' That sold him and The Mothers for the first 3 Mothers albums before he bought a 1952 or 53 Les Paul standard which got stolen in London in October 1969. The guitar case was painted green not 'because we did crazy things in the '60s' but because it had 'Mothers' stencilled on the case. So M******* W******** your excuse is a poor and feeble one.

Frank bought the best sounding piano with the widest range and he battled the local planning authority to have that major 1970s purchase live in a 4 dimensional space specially built for it. That piano should remain in the house, in the acoustic space for which it was built. Could you please do a deal with the private purchaser of the room in the house to buy the Bösendorfer with that small view as FZ made the Room Tone so he could record and write his jewels of composition. I will from my limited means pay for the removal of the piano from its Juliens storage facility back to where I hope the owner can appreciate the object. And bang out a few compositions

Time marches on. Get over it. If the new owner of the home (whether it's Lady Gaga or somebody else) wants the piano they probably have the means to purchase it if they really want it. If not I'm sure it will find a comfortable home somewhere else.

I wonder if this is the piano in which he recorded the second batch for piano people in CPIII...

I am not familiar with the recording sessions. Is there a cited date?
