Yes that is an official release. The Sampler and vol 2. was the only one of the series that made it on vinyl. Vol 2. is quite rare now, it goes for a lot on ebay. Im very happy with mine since it is still sealed.
You can get some info on all the YCDTOSA releases here http://www.lukpac.org/~handmade/patio/vinylvscds/stage.html#vinylbox

I think it's weird that there are still so many sealed copies of the YCDTOSA sampler floating around. I see them all the time. When I bought mine, I thought I'd gotten my hands on something special.

Did it have a drill hole? Yes they are in millions invading everywhere!

I had a hard time finding a sampler without the drill hole, but found it in the end.

Not a drill hole exactly, but a little 5 mm bargain bin notch cut into it. Also, when I took it out of the shrink wrap and opened the gatefold for the first time, part of the inside print ripped as if it were glued together. Oh well. At least my yellow-label promo copy of Mothermania is in really nice shape.

Funny, that's the first time I've looked at the vinyl vs. CD page in years. I'd completely forgotten how much I pop up on there. I'm a nerd!

This is the strangest item in my collection

Image

It is a test pressing of Sheik Yerbouti Side 3 & 4. A pity that it is not a complete Sheik Yerbouti.
I believe it's a UK pressing, but im not 100% sure.
The best part is that i got it for almost nothing :D

I'd heard that the Israeli Mothermania had the title in Hebrew script on the cover. But I'd always taken that with a grain of salt because I'd never seen a pic. I'm guessing it's not true otherwise you would have most likely included a scan of the cover. No??

Here's my bootleg vinyl collection front and back. I bought these back in the days of full metal jacket Zappa desperation. Top left is No Commercial Potential but at the time I thought the cover was crap (more so than the usual bootleg level of crap) so I made my own cover art.

Cheers. No, it's all black. I've probably diminished their value but most of the labels are blank and I had no way of telling which side is which so I wrote side numbers on them.

It's not a promo, it's a Dutch single from 1966
Here are the labels
