After seeing The Warriors when it came out I think I only ever saw his name once again on a poster for Xanadu which, needless to say, I didn't see despite him being in it.  Was his name Michael Beck? It was such a long time ago, he must have been in SOMETHING else since!<br>

Another great William Holden film. Sadly, however after he escaped this prison camp, he was captured by the Japanese and had to help build a Bridge over the River Kwai

^^^ I saw it today too. Excellent!!! Five stars!!! Brad Pitt and Leo are great together. A little bit subdued in a good and mature way for a Tarantino movie. Maybe his best.

Last new film I saw was ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD and I loved it.

Watched lots of other films recently. Mostly been showing my dad films he has never seen before. He doesn't watch many films, mainly reads.

So I showed him:

Goodfellas
The Departed
Inglourious Basterds
Hateful Eight
Django Unchained
Missipi Burning
Full Metal Jacket
Going Clear
The Thing (82)
Heat (95)
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs
1922

Last night i have attended a show where they screened the original King Kong movie from 1933 (edited down slightly) and accompanied it with the movie score played live by the local radio orchestra. Very great combination of movie and live situation, for instance: you heard the original movie voices when the chief of the island tribe calls King Kong to offer him the white lady as a present - he finishes by hitting a big gong and the gong you heard then was of course played live (and really loud). I expected it to be a good show but it was simply overwhelming.
