The DVD and CD are a combo package. I personally don't care about blu ray, especially for something like this. Think this is a far cry from High Art cinematography.

I agree with you, but I'll probably buy both. Perhaps, more sales will translate into more releases? Hopefully :?:

It doesn't include any of the short videos they've already released.

or... wait... what is she screaming/saying?
and why is frank king kong ( :smoke: )?
and why is he in a bullseye?
and why is he sniffing inward REALLY hard.
did he snort her right leg clean off (at the kneecap)?
and why is she levitating/leaning on his super small facial hair?

Maybe it was supposed to be the original artwork.

It's a homage to the IT CONQUERED THE WORLD movie poster (seek and ye shall find).

Still, if it was shot on 16mm, the resolution is better seen in Blu Ray. I forgot, was it shot on film or video?

Shot in 16mm, if I remember right. Frank said it had been transferred to video at one time, too.

I was going to ask if there's any great difference between DTS-HD Master Audio (Blu-ray) and DTS or 5.1 Surround (the DVD) but I'm getting both anyway.

well, maybe! Film buffs argue about these things all the time with pinky finger raised and ascot pulled tight.
and yep: 16mm. FZ transferred to ? with 80s technology (so they say), and the ZFT said they wanted to go back to the source and start over. So we shall see what is there in the end.

PS I was attempting to be diplomatic, but I don't like that Frank rendition one bit. First FZ release art I've ever turned up my nose at. Ahmet's call?

It would help if the artist had made the character look like Frank Zappa. It's more than just getting the facial hair in the right place.

heh. I should not have said, "attempting to be diplomatic..." More like: I am intentionally stirring the pot. But no one took the bait. And so I will say it: That Frank art [EDIT:] I will never get used to...

I've been trying to get used to the image. Sorry, it sucks. Its not even a good parody of It Conquered the World or even movie posters in general. The modified quote doesn't work and the added Japanese word bubble makes it too kitchy by half.

I haven't really been thrilled with an FZ album cover since the 80s.

In the end the artwork doesn't mean shit. Stop whining about it.
