That was my second choice. I should have further pursued it. Thanks.

This was important to me because I'm building the IMDb page for the film. I've entered most of the closing credits, except for some of the "thanks" credits at the end. I was even able to identify three of our forum members receiving "Special Thanks" in the closing credits. I've only seen the first 45-50 minutes of the film, so far. I've entered as much of the uncredited archived cast members (like Arthur Brown) as I could identify. It's a slow process that's taking a few days. I've also entered movie and tv references up to that point. Posting the music will be the last part that I'll get to.

Here's what the page looks like, at this point  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4881578/reference

Can someone confirm moving film footage of Lowell George?

Do you know where he would be in the film, or are you asking someone if they know? I can look.

Acclaimed Frank Zappa documentary set to arrive to Australian cinemas next month

Image

Words by Will Brewster

ZAPPA opens domestically on February the 18th.

A documentary film tracing the life and career of pivotal 20th century artist Frank Zappa has been confirmed for Australian cinemas in February.

Directed by Alex Winter of Bill & Ted fame, ZAPPA will receive its Australian premiere on February 18. It’s the first all-access documentary to be authorised by the late musician’s estate, with the film showcasing an intimate portrait of the seminal guitarist and industry iconoclast with the help of his family members and close collaborators.

Pieced together from thousands of hours of unreleased footage and boxes of tapes that have been stowed away in Zappa’s family home since his death, ZAPPA will tell the story of how Frank Zappa helped to shape the American avant-garde movement of the 1960s and go on to shake the music industry with his radical views on censorship and artistic integrity.

Featuring exclusive interviews and never-before-seen live footage, the acclaimed film will also aim to showcase the genius of Zappa’s genre-bending guitar playing and idiosyncratic songwriting, as well as the stories of his collaborations with contemporaries such Captain Beefheart and Steve Vai.

Watch the trailer for the film below, and keep your eyes peeled to your local cinema for upcoming times.
