Football sucks? Not as long as the German team beats England and The USA  ;) <br><br>Well, you see, just the talking about it sucks! Especially these days. I can't stand the hype about the forecoming world championchips here in Germany! Expectations are so high. They even really seem to believe it will solve all economic, sportive, juvenile, social, integrative (...) problems we have! Rediculous!<br><br>"Take your TV tube and eat it. And all that phoney stuff on sports..."

Billy Joels version of The Star Spangled Banner.

Princes performance. Uneven sound mix, his guitar work was weak and way too high in the mix (I usually like top of the mix guitar), and Chicago is playing like shit.

I thought the combination of Prince and the special effects made a mighty fine half time show.

i concur. i liked that prince did'nt just do his stuff, but also some dylan and foo fighters. very nice effect of the piece of fabric in front of prince, him performing in silhouette. unfortunately, i could'nt hear the marching band playing along. and you know they practiced like crazy for that. great halftime, for once :D

Right on. You want a professional halftime show, you hire a pro. And pros don't get any pro-er than Prince. Very impressive job.

EXACTLY! I was waitin' for it, too. The only thing that coulda topped the half-time show woulda been the execution of Billy Joel for causing the world to suffer through his singing of The National Anthem. Tough song to sing, what with all the octave changes and all, but he blew it.

I saw Prince in concert about 7 years ago. It was great. The opening act was basically The Family Stone and they did all their hits.
