Went to see the band Biomechanical last night. Fucking awesome stuff...Sound like early Pantera power metal meets Dream Theater but heavier. Their singer when you get up close to him has an uncanny resemblance to Zappa. I was wearing my Shiek t-shirt and when I started chatting to the drummer after the gig he dragged me over to the singer to show him the resemblance!
There are some pictures at http://www.Biomechanical.co.uk but eerily he doesn't seem to show the resemblance on the promo pics. Must be the brooding metal facial poses ;D

Best ND EVER sounded totally on the mark even dedicated a cover song by Cryptic Slaughter, to the legendary Portland native Pig Champion of Poisen Idea, cant believe he's still gone,(RIP brother :'()!!!
Kreator to was kick ass as well. Milli was such a cool guy he signed my ticket, talked a bit about the old metal days, told him Iv seen them about 5 times now, and how cool it was for them to make it back to the states. Was really good to see them two bands once again, in one night even.
[/quote]

Ah, sounds awesome. They stopped by New York some time ago, but I couldn't make it due to a jazz band gig I was playing at. :(

My band Bung played the Seattle Death Metal festival lastnight w\ Obituary and Sadus. The bass player for Sadus was OUTSTANDING his playing was spot on. He looked so much like Cliff Burton it was scary, imho his playing was better than Cliff's really. Obituary was sweet to, tight as hell!

Steve DiGiorgio is the fucking man, thats true.....His work on Deaths albums Human and Individual Thought Patterns is incredible, as well as all the Sadus albums. Also, check out Autopsy "Fiend For Blood" ep, cos he rips on that too.....Always been one of my favourite bass players........
