Thanks for the feedback guys.

I'm gratuitously reposting the links here because a new page has just started:

Substance Affection on YouTube

Palindromatically Inclined on YouTube

Now its time for amateur hour and Eddie's feeble attempts- think I might have posted this before (maybe), this is what you get when you combine Bad Editing, Wah Wah/Effects abuse and weird lyrics - Enjoy or not

Don't sell yourself short Eddie. It's not really my thing, but it's interesting the way you're mixing the vocals around the guitar. Whatever floats your boat, it doesn't matter what other people think. If you start worrying what other people think you'll end up creating music for them instead of yourself.

That cover I did of No More Mr Nice Girl attracted some negative criticism - mainly I think because I wandered too far from the original for their tastes - but I'm about keeping it vital and not resurrecting the dead.

I've posted another one of my acoustic guitar/drums duets on YouTube. Chronologically, this one was recorded about six months before Palindromatically Inclined.

Cardboard Shuffle

Nice, has a seventies vine about it reminds me a bit of the melody from Skyhooks "Ego is not a dirty word" but that might just be me. Has a funny clip to it anyway

Just posted this on YouTube. It's got lyrics and has an acoustic guitar solo at the end.

Just posted this on YouTube, right after the last one. This one's an instrumental, which is sandwiched by a heavy jazz tone poem, in between is my first ever modal bari sax solo, followed by a contrasting lead guitar solo over several key changes.

Apologies, I had to delete this link, see my following post.

Jazz is not dead, it's what you make of it.

Not much. Very sloppy at everything I tried. Just never was good at keeping the beat. I can play the chords of Take The Skinheads Bowling (C, F and G!, a fun song, for keep it simple. It might have Fmaj7) or Another Brick In The Wall along with the record.

My daughter has inherited some of my interest and musical ear, though I myself and totally crap at harmony. She took guitar lessons and played in one of them "school of rock" bands for a performance for the parents when she was 15. She was pretty good at rhythm, and the other kid, about 12, was a lot worse on lead guitar. Now she plays piano.

I spoke too soon about the Foreveranda Café track. I had to delete the version I uploaded yesterday, because I discovered a pretty bad glitch that occurred somewhere between finishing the demo mix and converting it to a sound track appropriate for a YouTube post, so apologies to those with dead links. Here's the new link.

I hope you won't mind indulging me in listening to the new version.

After deleting my beginner sax videos from YouTube, I have finally got around to posting a video of me practicing the bari sax section from my composition Antelope Tweeds.

Okay, so I've finally had the guts to publish a demo of my arrangement of Overture To A Holiday In Berlin. It's got a really neat twist as the final section. Read the notes on my listings if you're interested in the details. I've been wanting to play this on bari sax for a while, so I'm very pleased to have finally reached this point.
