It's a burning question and it's probably been asked many times before but search high and low and see if you can find out which actual brand of coffee Frank Zappa drank the most.

Can any body shed any light on this one? I wanted to find some to try and drink it while listening to some Zappa albums.

I even saw Frank's coffee road case for auction recently but surely I don't need to bid the hideous amounts of money that will be required to procure such a fine collectible and analyse the remnants of the coffee odors and possible left remnants that may still be intact in that very touring road case.

Anybody? Anybody at all?

You know, I think I can almost hear Frank declaring now!! 'Why would anyone want to know that?'. Simple. I'm a fan. We miss you and love you man.

So if anybody can help me have a small Zappa moment and drink some of the coffee's that the great composer himself used to enjoy then please do share this highly coveted information.

Now, if it helps... Here is a list of the top coffee brands of the world and a selection from the last 6 decades that may just trigger the flicker of a memory for fellow fans and family members alike.

My 2nd guess would be Maxwell House

Really my point is that in many ways Frank was a typical American, and in a typical American's typical house next to the typical coffee maker you will typically find either Folgers or Maxwell House. At least, back in the 70s and 80s. An older person than I would have to verify their popularity before that time.
