Hey. Pete Jones is going this weekend. Not sure which show. Maybe both.

The shows haven't even happened yet, but dead.net is already offering releases in various formats, including a 12-CD + 7-DVD or blu-ray set of the complete Chicago run. Interesting that they already know how it will fit on CD.

The way I hear it is they're gonna record all these shows and then sell them as a boxed set. :?

They're selling them now. They're taking orders, they've got prices set, they've got formats settled, they've got cover art. All they don't have is the recordings.

I'm sure general times of set lengths have been determined. Things can be edited to make them fit. They likely felt it was beneficial to "strike while the iron is hot" and get a jump on the production aspects of these sets rather than waiting until afterwards to get things exact. They also have a ton of experience turning shows into CDs.

Yeah, I bet they got a whole system worked out. Probably Mickey does the artwork, Bob does the cd duplication, Phil works on the website orders and Billy does the shipping. Teamwork! :)

yeah....unfortunately I don't get the feeling that there's a whole lot of that going on these days. I'd prefer they work on healing their relationships rather than doing these (or any other shows).

I finally developed a taste for the Dead about 3-4 years ago. I just put all the legend aside and listened to their studio albums in order. By the end of it (about a week), I had been won over. Then it became much easier to enjoy all the live tapes.

At this price Jerry Fucking Garcia had better come back and play!!!
You have to buy their parking tix at Levi's Stadium. The farthest away lot is $74 bucks and I bet there's a bunch of fucking fees that will make it over $100 just to park.   :( :x
Cletus flaked out and never called back. I left a message offering to split the parking. I hate this fucking venue already...fuckin' yuppies in silicon valley-suck big green donkey dongs, imho!
I'm gonna park as close as *free parking* is and try hitchhiking in with someone else and offer to chip in on parking. There's probably a fee just to walk/bicycle in and a tariff if ya wanna sit and rest doing so...keep walking or pay! Anything for a buck, yup...fucking....pies!
Nothing is allowed in, they damn near strip ya so you have to buy their shit!

I don't think I'll be taken any acid Sunday, it's already a bum trip! :x :(

On the bright side, it's great earthquake country and Loma Prieta is due for another big '89 like event! I'm in the nosebleeds section which should land nicely on everyone else...heh,heh, heh.

Actually, not everyone in that picture lived there. According to Bill's new book. You can call him a liar if you want.

My buddy Marco says he saw a triple rainbow. I guess you had to be there. I wasn't.

Apparently StubHub had tickets for twenty bucks. Wonder what the service charge was...

They sure did stick to the early part of their career. I don't hang at any GD sites, so maybe there is some plan to all of this, but it would seem to be a good guess that they are gonna move on down the catelog tonight with the 70s and 80s albums...

At this price Jerry Garcia would probably never come back and play. He was never one to fleece the fans.

+ 1. Garcia hated playing the stadiums after the success of In The Dark.
