I'll be watching this again today, in the first of three masochism marathons...

We watch this a family and a jury. We draw up a list with points and comments.
I'm always an enormous fan of anything Balkan or Arabic that isn't schmaltzy.

Ditto... can't say I've seen anything that really jumps out besides the impromptu sax solo in the Green Room by the Moldova saxophonist, that was like the first live instrument performance at Eurovision in 20 years!

Has the brexit bollocks disqualified Britain from Eurovision?

Nah, you don't have to be in the European Union - or even in Europe - to take part in Eurovision. Australia took part last year. No, Britain will just come nearly last, as they have done anyway in the last few years.

You know Britain is one of the most major financial contributors...
You know that British music is among the most popular in the world - whether Beatles, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd or more recent stuff like Coldplay or Adele...
You know that Britain almost always gets in the last 5...

I hate to differ, but they still have the most awful songs at Eurovision.
Not one of the bands you mention above was in the finals.
Since 2010 the UK have been 25th (last), 11th, 25th, 19th, 17th, 24th and 24th, which isn't always last, but isn't last 5 either.
They are in the "Big 5", which means they qualify automatically whatever dross they produced last time.
Even when they do win, it's dreadful.
Remember this?

Plus they're not Balkan or Arabic.

Sorry, my English... by "last 5" I meant "bottom 5".

Best performance I heard last night was the beginning with Eurovision hits played in Ukranian folk style. Beyond that most of it was so terrible I walked away during the last song with a headache.

Here's some of my favourite winners!

I don't think any of the NZ channels are broadcasting it this year, we may get a truncated high lights package later in the week.....

Eurovision sucks .... Moldova or Lampukistan will win. Always the same. The music is just bad.

The Netherlands has won Eurovision.

...Hell has frozen over. Which is good I suppose, with this global warming an all...

I thought they were all pretty naff. Madonna definitely needs to retire as well.
