What's the exchange rate to US dollars? This is listed as "currently unavailable" on Amazon USA.

The UK price is about £103 which is about CAD$165.

If you bought it on amazon.co.uk, surely the postage wouldn't be much more than about CAD$60.

So what is that CAD$340 about? (which I guess implicitly includes some international postage)

Exchange rate is $1.00 US = $1.33 CDN = 0.82 GBP

When it first appeared on Amazon.ca, I pre-ordered it at $158.89 (free delivery).
I wonder if they are trying to recoup their losses on that price by overcharging newer buyers?

That's not mere overcharging, that's doubling the price. I just went on amazon.co.uk and started the preorder based on a listed price of £102.03 and this came up:

Order Summary
Items: £85.03
Postage & Packing: £3.58
Total before VAT: £88.61
VAT: £0.00
Order Total: £88.61

That, if it's not a mistake, would mean, on today's rates, AUD$142.21, including postage, but I'm inclined to believe it is a mistake. I've made an enquiry, we'll see.

I'm really digging this Monkey Mind album. I haven't even watched the video yet, but the audio is spectacular.

In these days where a lot of people are doing solo tours to save money, three drummers is extravagant...

@MTF I checked it out on Amazon UK and ordered it. The combination of a reduced price and the £ down the drain made it a very good deal.

Really loving the Radical Action box set, and the Toronto double CD as of late. I have all the studio albums on CD (mostly '02 mini-LP reissues), some as doubles on CD/DVD-A for additional video content, & all the official live albums & Collector's Club CDs. I see no need to purchase any of the monster box sets from the '70s because you're being forced to buy a lot of the same live KCCC & live albums again just to get those downloads in CD form but with fancy packaging. I don't really care about having alternate mixes/outtakes of every studio piece. Plus it gets to be a storage/space issue.

The '80s & the Thrak boxes looks tempting, but again if you have all the KCCC discs, studio albums(as at least '02 reissues), standard live CDs, the live DVDs, etc, then there's no real need for it. I would love to see those late '81 Savoy NYC shows as a stand-alone release though. I also have no desire to hear what Jakko did with the Thrak remix. It wasn't his album, it's good as is, so why mess with it? I wonder what Adrian thinks of the remix of that? Thrak box has an unreleased filmed show(LA Wiltern?), but already got the CD, and would probably rarely watch. Deja Vrooom & Argentina '94 are enough video of that lineup.

Here's to hoping that DGM puts out another recent show on CD (ala Toronto) with the new drummer and the Lizard tracks + Fracture.

I received Radical Action today and must say the Blu-Ray kicks ass! Agree with MTF that the sound is spectacular. They manage to revisit old material with a forward looking approach and without sounding or seeming the least bit nostalgic.

Seeing this greatly relieves the pain of having missed the concert back in 2014.

Mel Collins! WOW!!

Just received On (and off) The Road.

Wow! What a beautiful package and with 19 discs for $120.00 quite the value IMO.

I can now cross '80's KC off my music collection rebuild list.

Mine won't ship until Nov. 18....but, the 2016 Tour Box came in the mail today, so that will tide me over .....for a short while!

My On (and off) The Road arrived two days ago, but haven't had time to delve into it yet. I had it bundled with the Radical Action package and listened to some of the Blue Ray disc yesterday. The sound quality is indeed remarkable and the performances are the best I've heard of this material.

So, Doug, is there a restriction that you can't order from Amazon UK? It was significantly cheaper for me than ordering from Amazon US.

Ordering from Amazon U.K. is CDN $183.73, plus shipping.
My pre-order from Amazon.ca is CDN $178.75 Including tax + free shipping. It was the best deal, at the time, and has stayed that way, since they have to honour that price, even if they raise it, later.

The US dollar must be dropping, for some strange reason. :?

I would rather have 80s albums box set, instead of have to pay for 19 CDs with more or less same music. I mean those DVD-A are useless. sorry.

anyhow, that's not the reason why I opened this topic. Just wanted to say I saw KC in Prague in September. wow, one of the best concerts in my life. the level and accuracy those musicians are on is insane. if you haven't, be sure to catch the show somewhere.

@Doug The price listed on Amazon UK is £108.01, which translates to about CAD$180. But, when I visited a couple of weeks ago, after moving to the checkout, the price had dropped by £23, which would be a total of around CAD$150 including postage. They have not been able to explain to me why, but I'm not complaining. Maybe it has to do with the fact that DGM are ultimately physically based in the UK. Mostly, I find it cheaper to buy CDs, DVDs and books from Amazon US, but in this case Amazon UK was significantly cheaper.

Most of the 5.1 remixes I buy, I buy from Burning Shed, in the U.K. Often less expensive than Amazon.ca, and way faster delivery times than the U.S. (Go figure!)
