Win or lose, it would be nice to see some Dodger home runs go over the green monster.

Well, Kemp managed to hit one in game 1. But it wasn't enough. Clayton Kershaw got roughed up for 5 runs in only 4 innings. The Dodgers just made too many mistakes.

Game 2 was even worse. The Dodgers only managed two runs on three hits. The top 4 in their order went a combined 2 for 14.

Fortunately, the next three games are in LA. The temperature should be at least 20 degrees warmer, so at least the players won't be wearing ski masks.

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot that scares Dave Roberts, But I'll bet this does: the Red Sox haven't lost a single road game this post-season.

Game 3 of the World Series was awesome! Eighteen innings, seven hours and twenty minutes. The longest game in World Series history. And it all ended with a walkoff homer by Max Muncy of the Dodgers.

White House Welcomes 'Boston Red Socks' Ahead of Donald Trump Visit

Image

Something was lost in translation as the White House prepared to host the Boston Red Sox to celebrate their 2018 World Series title.

The White House incorrectly listed the team as the "Boston Red Socks" on a page listing the day's events.

The mistake has since been corrected.

While the Red Sox organization is making the customary trip to the nation's capital afforded to World Series champions, a number of key team figures won't attend.

According to ESPN.com's Joon Lee, manager Alex Cora, Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr., Xander Bogaerts and David Price are among those who declined the invitation.

Yankees vs. Rays Delayed After Tropicana Field's Lights Go Out

Image

An electrical failure at Tropicana Field led to a cool moment in the stands during Sunday's game.

The lights went out in the ninth inning of the series finale between the Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees, leaving fans in the dark. However, they responded by turning on the lights on their cellphones, creating a "concert vibe".

Of course, the players were unable to play in this atmosphere, and the game was delayed until the lights came back on, but you do have to appreciate the fans' creativity.

On the other hand, this isn't a great way for the Rays to keep people in the seats, considering they already entered Sunday ranked second to last in the majors in average attendance, per ESPN.

Phillies Fans Boo Bruce Willis After 1st Pitch Bounces to Aaron Nola

Image

Philadelphia sports fans are a notoriously grumpy group, with Bruce Willis appearing to be the subject of their scorn prior to the Phillies' game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.

When Willis bounced the ceremonial first pitch to Aaron Nola, the crowd at Citizens Bank Park let the actor hear about it.

If you want to be charitable to the Phillies fans, it wouldn't be unreasonable to suggest they were chanting "Bruuuuuce" after the pitch.

But considering Bryce Harper heard some boos during his first home game with the Phillies, giving them the benefit of the doubt is difficult.

Of course, Willis didn't help himself by bouncing the pitch when he wasn't even standing on the mound. Despite the boos, Willis can take solace in the fact his first pitch wasn't close to being the worst in MLB history.
