What is it?

To me it's gotta be Stop Making Sense. Start to end fantastic funky, rocking music. Woodstock is close behind - the 40th anniversary DVD release was great. Other favorites are Baby Snakes, Cunning Stunts by Metallica and The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert.

Maybe not the best, but the ones that were the most influential to me:

Yessongs
The Grateful Dead Movie
The Song Remains The Same
The Kids Are Alright (not really a concert film, but)
The Pink Floyd Dunes Of Pompeii

Well, Baby Snakes I've definitely watched the most. It's actually kind of sick how many times I've seen it since it first came out on vhs back in the '80's. The Song Remains the Same got quite a few viewings back in the day as well as The Wall (even though that's not really a concert film).

I like how there are many more concerts available nowadays and the production quality is much better on the newer ones.

BABY SNAKES, without a doubt. I was there in the front row, feel like a young teen everytime I see it. Makes me look younger, a secret elixir.

ps Tho' I am not a big fan of the Band, "The Last Waltz" has gotta be one of the most watchable concert flicks...

Purchased from Ticketron or whatever it was called on day of sale for 7 or 8.50, I think. NO corruption back then. At least not for Palladium shows.

Alice Cooper - Welcome To My Nightmare

When I was a kid, I saw "The Nightmare", which was a TV special. It wasn't a concert film, but it was a big part of making me an Alice Cooper fan. When I ordered the "Welcome To My Nightmare" DVD, I was disappointed, not because it was bad, just not what I was expecting. I finally did get my hands on a VHS of "The Nightmare"......
