Don't know if this has been addressed elsewhere, but I've been listening to this show lately. It comes on M-F from 8:00pm-1:00am on one of the local classic rock stations. Pretty good show-he'll play alot of the same overplayed rock that gets played on most classic rock stations (Geez, you'd think Boston was the most important band in rock history) but he'll play alot of more obscure tracks going back to the 60's (including FZ) and his commentary is pretty funny too.

If you like Alice's commentary on the radio show, you'll probably like this book. If you are a fan of the 70's Alice Cooper, you'll love it. He tells lots of stories.

At Cooper's Town, Alice's themed restaurant and rock club in Phoenix, there are some cool posters documenting FZ and Alice, so he gets kudos for not dissing Frank later in his career, like many other acts (who owed Frank, at least as an inspiration) did.

Right, man, he never disses him. Alice always speaks well of Frank. He always gives Frank credit for helping their band get started. He also says on his "Prime Cuts" video that Frank is probably the best guitarist he's ever heard.

That's exactly why Alice is a good guy, and others are not. I saw Alice (Welcome To My Nightmare Tour) in the 70's and his show was good. I have a friend who lives in Prescott and goes to Alice's Christmas show and says Alice still kicks ass.

Yeah, already got it and read it. I've always liked his music. Even in his supposed down years in the 80's he released my favorite AC album "Special Forces". It rocks and has some of the funniest songs like "I'm a Movie", "You Look Good in Rags" and "Skeletons in my Closet". Recommended.

I love that album! "Prettiest Cop on the Block" is my favorite.

I'm a big fan of his "Dada" album from that period too.

Thanks, GG. I get a little kick when some of these old threads get rekindled and I see a post I made in one of my previous incarnations. It makes me think of that time. I was "Funny Car". Hmm, only 34 posts. I wonder why I jumped ship so quickly that time.

Ah haaaaa, so you were Funny Car, If I find something of interest that doesn't quite fit among the standard topics, I always go looking for an appropriate thread from yesteryear.....the older the better.

That's from the documentary Super Duper Alice Cooper. If you don't have it already you should get it.

I saw The Coop on the Gong Show, back in 1977, singing "Going Out of My Head".
Jaye P. Morgan gonged him.
The bitch!
