I journeyed to far-off Danbury CT on 3/31 to see Kimono Draggin', who will be playing the Zappanale this summer. They were the opening act at Cousin Larry's (not my cousin -- that's the name of the bar, a respected venue of new music in Danbury) for a special evening celebrating the 6th "car-free anniversary" of one Dave Bonan.

Kimono Draggin' is lead by Joe Nolan, a skilled guitarist known for his work with FZ tribute band Doctor Dark. With Josh Hatton on bass and Chris Swirski on drums, the trio puts out a set of high-energy, intelligently-crafted original rock that shows its FZ influences in Joe's no-holds-barred guitar technique, their compositional exploration, and fun lyrics. They call their sound "Bukkake Rock", maybe because it sprays all over in pure decadent pleasure.

Kimono Draggin' is based in New Haven CT, and they play shows in CT, and they just played a gig in NYC. You can check for their upcoming shows and to hear their music.

Strictly commercially yours,

Father O'.
