It does not pack the punch of the first film .

So how does it compare to the original? I’ve been planning to watch it but have been a little hesitant because of bad reviews. I used to read a lot of Stephen King back in the day but haven’t for years. Movies based on his books have ranged from terrible to really good.

I rather liked it. Not as suspenseful as the original, things happen much quicker.
On the other hand, whereas the original ends with Denise Crosby "coming home", the new one keeps going a bit more.

So is it still the same story for the most part? I read somewhere that SK very much approved of this film. This makes me hopeful, and I plan to watch it soon.

I only like it 'cause my last name is Creed, too! 8)

Not as bad as the reviewers said .
I liked it about 7/10.

Among the contributors to the score are -

Guthrie Govan

Walt Fowler

Bruce Fowler and his daughter Rhea Fowler .

Yup, had to go watch the Downton Abbey movie...most definitely a chick flick...seemed like a two-hour episode with major production values. I'm there for the Dowager Countess, if nothing else.
