I saw that tour and bought the blu-ray. I thought both were really good even though, like you, I am only a casual Yes fan. I see though that the blu-ray/dvd/cds have been criticized by fans and other reviewers because they apparently piped in/exaggerated the crowd noise/applause between songs. I didn’t really notice it when I watched it though. That disc burnt up with everything else in the fire, btw.

Ah the c#$@s$@#$@#m!@#@#f&^%$#$ fire!

I can't say I noticed any canned applause, the thing that did came across on the dvd was how much they were enjoying themselves and appeared to be genuinely pleased to be up there belting out a large slice of their repertoire.....

I've been a Rick Wakeman fan ever since getting my mind blown by Journey to the Center of the Earth at an extremely good three day party back in October 1974, but I never quite made the jump to Yes, I liked their album covers but was more into Pink Floyd at that time.....

So how does it compare to the original? I’ve been planning to watch it but have been a little hesitant because of bad reviews. I used to read a lot of Stephen King back in the day but haven’t for years. Movies based on his books have ranged from terrible to really good.

I rather liked it. Not as suspenseful as the original, things happen much quicker.
On the other hand, whereas the original ends with Denise Crosby "coming home", the new one keeps going a bit more.
