^^^Geez, you make it sound like I’m a shut in or something. I think I’ve been to fifty or so Kings games over the last thirty years. That was my first Black Lives Matter rally though. Hopefully, my last.
It didn’t really seem like that big of a deal when we went to enter the arena. We walked right by the rally and they were just chanting and waving signs. Just after we gained admission though the protesters locked arms and were preventing fans from entering, that’s when the lockdown occurred. I didn’t give it much thought until we were in our seats just before game time and realized that there were hardly any people there with no sign of the players either. By that time they had already delayed the start of the game by a half hour. It’s a good thing I got to Sacramento early as the protesters were blocking I-5 too at some point.

One fan got knocked out cold by a protester. He stole a piece of paper from the fan’s hand (probably his ticket to the game) and when the fan responded the protester knocked him out. There was footage of this on the news. The news said there were no arrests but I hope they find this guy and lock him up.

^^^^^ ^^^^^

senior moment?

Up at the crack of dawn, switch on the autopilot, trundle through the morning routine, into the car right on time, FZ blasting (Trance-fusion 8) ) and off to work, traffic was light, made excellent time on the way in, first to arrive, winning!.....Wait a minute, wtf! it's Saturday, I don't work Saturdays, haven't worked a Saturday in a year an a half.

squeeze my hand
any numbness on your face?
wiggle your fingers and toes
how many fingers am I holding up?
what's the capital of Japan?
who's the Prime Minister of Fiji?

ok.....casual drive back home into a beautiful sunrise FZ blasting (Guitar 8) ) trying to switch the work brain off and get into weekend mode :|

maybe some quality forum time will get me there

This evening I chased off a thief.

I heard a noise in my backyard. It was the sound of my shed door closing. I looked out the window, and there was a guy walking away with my brand new Makita miter saw. He saw me and started running down the hill at the back of my property.

I chased him to the extent that I could. He was younger and faster and doesn't have multiple sclerosis, but he was carrying a seventy-pound saw and trying to get away on a bicycle he had stashed at the bottom of the hill. He made it about a hundred feet before he realized he couldn't keep both the saw and the bicycle. So he put down the saw and got the fuck out of there. It was the first and only smart thing he did.

My daughter heard the commotion and called the police, then came running after me. Mrs. Flycoon followed in her car.

A couple people had witnessed the guy riding away, and gave pretty good descriptions to the cop. But since I got the saw back, I'm not really worried whether they catch him or not. He's a tweaker; he'll just go after someone else. A few days in jail won't make any difference.

But now I have to build a fence and get a new door for the shed. I suppose it's just a sign of the times...

MTF - I probably would have done what you did, I have in the past...but people constantly remind me to stop the hero crap because these punks often carry weapons and I am not sure your life is worth a miter saw...

It never occurred to me that the guy might have a gun.

But even if he had one, he probably couldn't have operated it. He literally had his hands full.

But thanks for pointing that out...

Visited my wife's cousin and husband on Malta for three days. Had a lovely time. They work at the golf club there and had interesting stories to tell about Iron Maiden's dress sense when playing golf and Michael Bolton's (!!!) drug habits and dislike of his own music. Malta itself is basically utterly overloaded with limestone houses from the Byzantine period to the present day, loads of traffic, beautiful fortifications and palaces, cheap and excellent food, nice people, a really confusing bus system, great weather, functioning ferries and a corrupt government. All in all, go there yourself -you'd like it!

Sometimes you have to rely on comedians to get people to notice stuff.

Arjen Lubach, who went viral with Netherlands Second , has noticed in today's episode of Zondag met Lubach, that although all major news sources explained about the Evil Of Facebook and How To Delete Your Account, none of them actually deleted their Facebook account.
So Lubach is starting: from this Wednesday on, his show's and his own Facebook account will be deleted and he calls upon his viewers to do the same.
