There also seems to be folks in Paris doing the same thing:

even during the lockdown which I see as a surrogate for those who can't get out. Still a few shoppers.

Normally, of course these places would be full of people!

Thanks.

Meanwhile, I am giving a Zoom class 9-10:30 on the 29th and my wife agreed to help me get to my vaccination, the same day at 11. She can drop me off and pick me up. We have 8000 seniors go in to the lobby and 2nd floor areas at the concert arena. The only trouble is 8000 seniors parking.

A day without rain, yet all natural areas are still soaking wet. I'll have to make a round of errands this morning. I would normally make a loop of my things counterclockwise, but as there is covid, I am going clockwise, with frozen groceries with me from the start. First stop is Target, as the self check out will allow a 10 minute stop. There are no men at my Target at 8AM, but the young moms with toddlers are still a problem. Nobody puts a mask on a kid under 2 and then the kid will be screaming at the self checkout as I get there.

Stop two will be a short hike at the lake in the middle of town. May need to change to boots even for 1 mile.

Third stop is recycling. We have mandatory cardboard recycling. You can pay for it or take it to messy dumpsters. With city income down in covid era, they took my nearest site away. Plastic and metal and glass are up to you. You can throw them out. But we sort them.

At 1PM I give a class to seniors on The Poison Squad and other early 1900 healthcare and food issues.

The Jungle came out in 1906 and had a big effect. The problem was how to get food to people. Canned meat was used to feed armies but even then, they added formaldehyde to it. Embalming your meat.

I talked to two people on the phone. No, 3. I left a message at a wrong number and he called me back.

It rained. After rain I moved some plants from one flower bed to another. Having to do with a tree stump. But 40 min was enough digging. I ended up with more landscaping work than I need. But selling the house in a couple of years...

Two or three times I've gone to Home Depot for stuff, and checked lawn mower supplies. No air filters for the mower they sold me 6 years ago. "We have it on line." No thanks, ordered it from Amazon. Then brushed grass off the old filter and mowed, while waiting for new filter.
