BF is staying over, so I get to see him for the first time in two months - and my shoulder hurts to the point of despair.

Must be all that emergency cleaning I did. :D

NO! Not ibuprofen! Just because it's over the counter doesn't mean it can't have horrible side effects - particularly on the female reproduction system.

Don't take Tylenol either - it's bad on your liver.

I didn't know that, and BBP seems to be right. Also, what Calvin said. But then, nearly all drugs are hard on the liver and we don't know in detail how most of drugs systemically act in the different systems of the body.

I say, go see a doctor, or use a cost/benefit perspective to decide whether or not to take a given medication. Get better soon!

Fortunately I still believe in the self-healing qualities of the human body. My shoulder feels much better! :D

Ouch!

Stay well BBP.....

I was amazed at just how quickly my almost 63 year old human body bounced
back from operation bail-out, roughly six days from crippled too toe touching.....

although I'll probably never twerk again.....

Listened to the radio (which i don't do very often) where they played this song:
Black Country, New Road - 'Science Fair' (Official Video)
Obviously i should listen radio more often

Went to Missouri to visit my daughter, sold books and about half the CDs. Half Price had no interest in the classical. We have 2 hrs left of return drive.

On this trip found that guys driving pick ups just are not goingto wear masks anymore, going to rest rooms.

Mon I get Pfizer vaccine. My wife will wait 1-2 months more.

Here in NZ around 27,000 peeps have had the jab so far, mostly medical, emergency services
and boarder staff, the elderly are next, then everybody else.....

There's been pressure to prioritise the indigenous folks as they have a higher susceptibility,
and particular suburbs where the largest outbreaks have occurred.....

I'm not quite old enough to be elderly and at the far end of the alphabet,
so it could be awhile before I'm invited to expose myself to a health professional.....

Voted. Was fun, they set up the voting station in a sport hall (which certainly went much better than the small school gym hall dressing room we usually have to vote in) and I got to keep my red pencil at the end.

this am I'm watching this guy as he's the walking commuter who does the stroll in NYC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7z5jcIH8GI

it's sunrise right now and he's on the East River side looking east.
Then he'll walk west and he does this most days, walkin around NYC
it's pretty cool
:)

edit: now he's heading west

There also seems to be folks in Paris doing the same thing:

even during the lockdown which I see as a surrogate for those who can't get out. Still a few shoppers.

Normally, of course these places would be full of people!

First Zoom class done. I showed 50 min of video and then...player stopped responding. I stopped screen share but the music was still playing my (not the class) audio, so I could not hear them till I popped the disc out pf the player. Sent link to class to watch on their own.

First day was Pink Floyd. I think my class got approved for the seniors (nonprofit) classes thanks to Pink Floyd. A popular band.

Fourth day will be random bands. I think some 14 min of Jethro Tull. I had no useable Genesis video, but I could have used Steve Hackett for it, there is good stuff on Youtube.

Zappa was left out except for one Black Page (easy) video in a set I sent out to view on their own. I could have used the Ruth piano one from the Winter movie. Oh well, too late now.

Thanks.

Meanwhile, I am giving a Zoom class 9-10:30 on the 29th and my wife agreed to help me get to my vaccination, the same day at 11. She can drop me off and pick me up. We have 8000 seniors go in to the lobby and 2nd floor areas at the concert arena. The only trouble is 8000 seniors parking.
