 Are you OK?

Sorry. Broken ribs are painful and there's not much you can do about it except let them heal.

Good luck. It sounds kind of scary but cataract surgery is pretty routine these days and with good results. That's easy for me to say as it's not my eye.

Are you on a waiting list jpd, or are you going straight under the knife?

It takes (don't know why) 2 or 3 weeks to book an appointment. At that time, I'll find out how much longer I have to wait.
This morning, I watched a video about the operation.
Probably shouldn't have done that.

hang in there jpd, you'll be just fine. you'll see.

(catch what i did up there!!?)
Sorry, it's all a blur, to me.

DAMN!

Will you change your name to "Slipped" :) Guess you'll get taped up and let the healing begin. Hope you are not too immobilized.

Time to write your memoir:"My life as a cyclops"

You kiddin'? Eye exams cost $120.00, but, because my eye is sooooo bad, it was, unexpectedly, covered by Ontario Health!
Gotta like that aspect.
And...thank you, Bonny. :D

Good luck. I know when my mother got her cataracts removed in the seventies she was out of work for like a week or two and she had to wear thick glasses (until she had lenses implanted in the 90's).

EVERYBODY!
Stay healthy and/or get better.
This is an ORDER!
Yes - I'm talking in particular to YOU, JPD and Trip.
Eyes, ribs, whatever...

An exercise in empathy. I've been nursing a spider back to health that was being carried away by a wasp which paralyzed it. The wasp dropped it's catch and I scooped it up for study. It remained paralyzed for over 20 hrs. In fact, the spider has almost regained normal movement. I'm nearly convinced that it's really a tiny machine recording my every move. So life-like.

AG fell on the camping trip and may have brother wrist... ...she had a X-ray Friday she gets her results today...

Let's have a contest and a pool and for who heals the fastest...

All joking aside I wish you all the best, trip I have had cracked ribs before it sucks the healing process is slow there is no candy coating it, no sneezing, coughing, or laughing it hurts...

JPD I can hope modern medicine has advanced enough with the amount of eye surgery done every year that this will pass quickly... 8)

Brother wrist is pretty serious but not as bad as sister wrist. Just be thankful she didn't get grandma wrist.

ku3 speaks the truth. my grandpa had grandma wrist.
kept his bad wrist in his pocket 99% of the time.
having said that, it was a picnic in the park compared to my uncle's condition.....

poor guy had surrogate mother wrist.

Went out for a cycling trip and got a flat tire... also got drilled out the house by a metal concert playing at the other side of town.

Just got home, from work, and found that I have won a 7.5 cu. ft. Epic retro bar fridge, worth almost $700.00, in a free draw.
