I really like Ed's albums (and of course Frank and Todd). I'm in.

I'm sure I'll be getting that Zodd Zundgren soon... but today i got tix for the Park West Show in December! Its on a Saturday, so it'll be a day of Christmas Shopping and Todd! :D

Also, I don't suppose anyone is headed to Virginia for Toddstock. I found out the day after tix went on sale and they're all gone. Only 500 available they say.

^^He was a varsity tackle and a hell of a block, and when he played his guitar he made the canyons rock.

Listening to Rundgren Radio last night they said the December shows will be the White Night show except w/o the screens and the Global Girls. I was hoping for the White Night show but with, you know, the White Night show. Oh, well. It will be good anyway.

Help me out KUIII, as I didn't hear the Rundgren Radio dealie...

Here is a White Knight tour setlist:

Come
Truth
Evrybody
Rise
Look at Me
Sir Reality
Deaf Ears
Let's Do This
Buffalo Grass
Strike
Secret Society
This Is Not a Drill
Tin Foil Hat
Beginning (Of the End)
Love Science
Sweet
Party Liquor
Past
Chance for Us
No World Order 1.1
Buy My T
God Said

Encore:
One World
Hello It's Me
Just One Victory

Here is a generic, but somewhat recent TR setlist:

I Saw The Light
Love Of The Common Man
Open My Eyes
Can We Still Be Friends?
Black and White
Buffalo Grass
Secret Society
Compassion
Born To Synthesize (jazzy arrangement w/ snippet of The Death Of Rock N' Roll)
Determination
Love in Action
Bang The Drum All Day
Soul Brother
I Don't Want To Tie You Down
Kiddie Boy
Hammer In My Heart
I'm So Proud / Ooh Baby Baby / I Want You
No. 1 Lowest Common Denominator
Drive
Couldn't I Just Tell You

Lucky Guy
Hello, It's Me
Real Man

And here is an Unpredicable setlist:

1. Jaan Pahechan Ho (Bollywood song)
2. Love of the Common Man
3. Running Bear (Johnny Preston cover)
4. Cliché
5. Black & White
6. Endless Prairie (Lorne Greene cover)
7. I'm a Gun (Lorne Greene cover)
8. I Don't Want to Tie You Down
9. Big Weekend (TR said "Don't try to google it; you won't find it")
10. Born to Synthesize
11. It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference
12. Song of the Viking
13. Compassion
14. Fire (Arthur Brown cover)
15. Are You Havin' Any Fun (Tony Bennett cover)
16. I Saw the Light
17. Hello It's Me
18. Lysistrata
19. One World
Encore:
20. Too Far Gone
21. Past
22. Love in Action

When I asked my wife if she wanted to go Christmas Shopping downtown Chicago this year and finish with a TR show, she asked which show he was playing. She had seen all 3 above, but wasn't sure if she wanted to see the White Knight tour again. Then I heard that it was the Unpredictable tour and she was into seeing that again, so I got tickets. Now, it seems its the White Knight one, ugh. It wasn't bad, but doing it w/out the bg singers or screens... hmmm... Still, its TR so I'll hope that he throws a wrench into it somehow! :)

What does "...except w/o the screens and the Global Girls."... mean?

From what I heard, my impression was that they will play the White Knight set list (as TFKA listed above) but without the video screens from the earlier WKn shows that partially obscured the band and without the two "go go girls" that were also part of the earlier WKn shows and were also part of the Global tour.

Well, now that I've read through the entire thread I'm curious as to how Initiation is not on anyone's 'fave' list.
I see "Born to Synthesize" mentioned a few times yet never the album itself. I rather dig it and it may even be my 'fave', Side One more so.

Saw Todd Rundgren's Utopia in '76 and while I don't recall the set list, I do remember it was my first concert with a laser light show and that I left very energized.

Initiation album, one of my favorites and Utopia as well as Todd concerts in the 70's and 80's featured many of those songs, great live action... :!:

It’s looks like Todd is going to have his own complete Roxy shows album. No track listing or anything yet but it’s to be called:

“All Sides of the Roxy: May 1978”

A three cd set to be released 2/23/18.

I assume it’s all the shows that made up the “Back to the Bars” album.

That'll be a great one!

and....
I thought Todd had a new drummer for this tour?
In the tour review section at trconnection, there's a photo of Prairie Prince from an early Dec. show.
Let me know if he's at your show, guys.

Sorry, never reported back after the Chicago show last weekend.
Yes, Prairie Prince was on drums.

Other notes...
There was a screen, but only one with the whole band in front of it, not behind as on the tour before the Yestival. There were a few new tunes on the setlist, but not many. No setlist posted on setlist.fm.

^^That’s cool! I was afraid it was going to be more of a no frills show (which would be fine) but it looks like some cool visuals will be in order. Happy Prairie is in tow, too.

Tow Too. That would be a good name for a band. :!:
