I like Jimmy. I wish him a full recovery.

This from the Idiots site and check out the interview. 10k Wow!

Quote:
Muffin Man Roddie Gilliard: "Jimmy Carl has been having a series of tests at the hospital in recent weeks. As you are aware, he was diagnosed with leukemia some years back, and has had several courses of chemotherapy over the last three years, along with monthly tests. A few weeks back they found some shadows around his lung. He is due to have an operation next week. The doctors advised him not to travel, so the MufFinZ played Cropredy without him yesterday [Saturday 10 August]. While the band were on stage they phoned Jimmy and had the crowd (20,000) wish him well - he was well chuffed. In the week leading up to the festival, which is hosted by Fairport Convention, several members of the Fairports rang Jimmy and wished him well, so during the festival, the news had spread. It was a joy to hear so many people wishing him well."

I have just finished an interview with Jimmy in which he talks about his health problems, among many other things – read it at http://idiotbastard.com/Interviews/JimmyCarlBlack2.htm

Of course, we all wish him the very best.

I met JCB at a Grandmothers show about a hundred years ago!
He's a really nice man. I wish him the best and hope he makes it to Zappanale next year!

Merch can be purchased to help Jimmy pay for his mounting medical bills.

One of my favorite stories....

Years ago, as a teen, a friend & I went to a party (mid-70's). After many beers, my friend points out this dude that had just walked in. The guy was the spitting image of JCB. A fucking twin.

My buddy goes "Hey, Jimmy Carl Black!"
The guy goes "What?", with a confused look on his face.
Pointing at him, "you're Jimmy Carl Black!!"
Dude sates back at him, getting annoyed now.
My friend goes "What's your name?"
And the guy glares back "IT AIN'T THAT!", and walks away.

I laughed so hard I almost pissed myself.

I met JCB in Aug. 2000 at a "Grannies" concert and he was one of the most fun guys to talk to. Not to forget to mention astounding as frontman and lead vocalist. (They even did a wildly fantastic performance of Captain Beefheart's, "Neon Meate Dream of A Octafish" with Jimmy doing entirely convincing vocals that I couldn't imagine anyone would ever have expected!)

Beat this shit, Indian Of The Group!
