Who didn't see this coming? So the running away from Trump by Republican's for the mid-terms begins...

Blankenship hits back at Trump: He backed a candidate 'accused of pedophilia'

Controversial West Virginia Republican Senate hopeful Don Blankenship brushed aside President Trump's call to vote against him by noting that Trump once called on voters to back a Republican candidate facing allegations of child molestation.

Blankenship, a former coal executive who served a year in prison for a mine safety violation, has been locked in a brutal fight with establishment Republicans. The GOP fears Blankenship's criminal record, as well as his recent incendiary attacks on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and his family, would ruin the party's chances of defeating Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) in the fall.

That concern prompted Trump himself to tweet to his followers on Monday morning to vote for either of Blankenship's opponents in Tuesday's primary.

"To the great people of West Virginia we have, together, a really great chance to keep making a big difference. Problem is, Don Blankenship, currently running for Senate, can't win the General Election in your State...No way! Remember Alabama. Vote Rep. Jenkins or A.G. Morrisey!" Trump tweeted.

Hours later, Blankenship hit back.

"We all really like President Trump's policies but we know he doesn't get things right. He recommended people vote for a guy that was basically accused of pedophilia in Alabama, my accuser is Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, it's not anyone that I've damaged," he said Monday during an interview the campaign paid to air on WZTS TV in West Virginia.

"It's really sad that the pressure on the president and the misinformation and the untruths he's been given would cause him to suggest that you vote for two guys that have failed you because I will not fail you if I get to DC."

Blankenship is referring to Trump's support of former Alabama state Supreme Court chief justice Roy Moore, who won the party's nomination in December's special Senate primary. Trump and the Republican National Committee stood by Moore even as allegations of child molestation and sexual assault surfaced in the final weeks. Moore ultimately lost his race.

The West Virginian has regularly argued that the government was responsible for the explosion at his mine that killed 29 people, and has gone on to accuse Obama's Justice Department of seeking a politically-motivated prosecution of him.

The Moore comparisons come as Republicans try to argue to voters that Blankenship would be as risky a choice as Moore, a candidate who ultimately ceded a deep-red Senate seat to the Democrats.

The last one, Mr Nice Guy, is a delicious irony.

I read an article about USA getting out of the Iran deal.
Future doesn't look very bright.
Again, a move by a guy who doesn't know and care about what he's doing.
:P

And this TV Clown has the nerve to tell Europe to stop trade relations with Iran en passant. He's dividing the western alliance, provocating another war in the Near East, which could turn out as a conflagration very quick, and he's destroying trust in American policy. Remember an Old Roman principle of law, which has been always part of diplomacy: Pacta sunt servanda .... Agreements must be kept. Politics are not a tv show. Impeach this idiot very soon please.

So now it turns out that money from a Russian oligarch was flowing into the same LLC that Michael Cohen used to pay off Stormy Daniels. In other words, two of Trump's biggest scandals are dovetailing together into one big shitstorm.

If this wasn't destroying the Republic, it'd be funny as hell...

If only there was a way to 'impeach' all those 60 millions of idiots who still stand by this guy.
All those fools who swallow his words as if it was the Holy Scripture.
If it wasn't for those short-sighted imbeciles, who no longer knows what truth is and what evidence looks like, we wouldn't be
on the verge on another major and useless conflicts.

Shame on those uneducated folks cause it takes that kind of peoples to give power to such a clown.
By himself, Trump is nothing but just a regular pile of shit. Disgusting but inoffensive.
He should have stayed where he was.

If one can pull any positives out of it, it does leave us Europeans morally free to conduct a sensible foreign policy independent of Trump, if we've got the guts to do it.

A good idea. USA is becoming the rogue country W was whining about some years ago.

French exports to Iran for the first 11 months of 2017 rose 120 percent to 1.29bn euros ($1.58bn), and imports grew 80 percent to 2.16bn euros
For the most recent period for which trade data are available, the nine months from January through October 2017, Germany sold 2.358 billion euros worth of goods ($2.846 billion) to Iran, and imported just $328 million worth of goods from Iran. German exports to Iran grew by more than 27 percent year-on-year from 2015 to 2016, and remain on a steep upward curve.
Iran's trade with Spain has been on the rise since March 2013-14 to reach $593 million in the last Iranian year (March 2016-17) when Iran exported $244 million worth of commodities to the European country and imported $349 million.
Among EU nations, Italy is a major trade partner for Iran. With more than €2.58 billion worth of purchases, Italy was the main export destination for Iranian products during the 10 months to Oct. 31, 2017, registering a significant 315% increase compared with the corresponding period of 2016.

It would seem that some European countries , along with some American companies like Boeing , are helping the largest terror state in the world create a lot of evil in the middle east.
Trump is right in his quest to get out of Syria.
After Iran takes it over , it's just a hop, skip and a jump to retake Europe.
You people must be delirious with glee.
Hopefully you will enjoy the same fate as normal Iranian people, IF you survive the nukes.

Thing is, Iran has NEVER attacked the USA. It's another "fake war" in the making, like the one waged against Iraq, based on "fake information". Like Bush, Trump's only doing this as a ploy to ramp up support for Republicans for the mid-terms. Iran, North Korea and China are all cozy with Russia, so obviously this is all for show as they continue to use covert means to destroy the USA, and Trump is STILL colluding with them.

Exactly. A lot of people must be brainwashed over there. The greatest liar on God's grey earth accuses Iran to lie. What a joke. Largest terror state ? Said who ? Trump and Netanjahu and Fox ? I'm in genuine concern. Europeans are not afraid of Iran. They are afraid of Trump.

I don't know if you're interested, but this is 0.2% of Germany's total exports from 2015-2016, made under a legal treaty that Trump has just unilaterally cancelled without giving any evidence for the other side breaking the treaty. I wonder why he isn't considering cancelling trade agreements with Saudi Arabia who have been financing terror groups for years. Then, on the other side of the globe, North Korea is suddenly very groovy indeed (even though they already have nuclear weapons), just because they release 3 US hostages and stroke Trump's ego.

Also, Pres. Obama saw the release of 11 US prisoners from North Korea and 3 from Iran, plus he got Bin Ladin.

Trump supporters are just stupid brainwashed racist assholes. Fuck them.
