OK, it's time again...a new book from SPB! This one is more aimed at non-hardcore types (or newbies even!), but it does contain some (I hope!) interesting information about FZ's CD releases, why he did what he did, and that sort of thing.

Here's the blurb for it:

ZaFTIG is here!! What is ZaFTIG? It is the Zappa Family Trust Issues Guide! Written by Ed Komara with Scott Parker, this new book takes a look at Frank Zappa's catalog, with a focus on the releases of the various albums in the compact disc format. It details FZ's reasons for making the changes he made to his original albums for CD release, and the process that the Zappa Family Trust went through to restore them to their original glory for the universally-acclaimed 2012 Universal CD reissue series. It also functions as a guide for Zappa newbies, listing the various releases and giving the uninitiated some clues as to what in the heck they have stumbled upon!

This one is B&W only. And I'm signing all of the copies purchased through SPB, of course!

Available for pre-order here, if you're interested!

The title sounds as if it's a book for people who have had their brush-in with the ZFT.

I thought it might have been about release dates.

I agree. It comes across more as The Zappa Family's "Trust Issues" Guide rather than the ZFT's "Issues Guide".
